Satchell Lane Can't Post or Reply Privately

Anyone know if Satchell Lane, Hamble-Le-Rice, SO31 4NE has been used by other clubs in the past ?
Chamberlayne Athletic in Hampshire Premier League, Senior Division, are scheduled to play their next two matches there according to Full Time.

In 2001, Prior to Hamble Club using either pitch at the current location, I saw them on a ground I listed as "Mount Pleasant Recreation Ground".

Google maps shows two possible venues at your postcode - the 3G floodlit sports centre/school pitch and the open grounds labelled as Hamble United.

The desciption suggests the three pitches - Hamble United play in the Southampton Saturday League

After all that, the game wasnít played here anyway, as there was a youth tournament taking place and was instead played at College Playing Fields, which is elsewhere in the village.
Full Time still saying that it was played at Satchell Lane though!

Pitchfinder says Baron Lane, SO31 4RN. Using the Roy Underdown Pavilion I guess.

I canít find any mention on Pitchfinder that shows any results, let alone where matches were played.
Or are you just giving an address for College Playing Fields (itís Baron ROAD).......which I already know as I was at the match.

full time, along with any other internet information is only as good as that entered. If no one actually does anything, the wrong information will remain.
I believe that this is the field I went to in 2001 - my memories suggest it was closer to the centre than Satchell Lane and Spitfire Way rings a bell.

I know I was not the only one there, so I am surprised no one has confirmed this.

Full Time is annoying in that if something is altered on the Main Board it goes into the history, for instance Cheshire League has a Premier Div now , but when it changed a few seasons ago all previous seasons became Premier not Div 1.

=================================

But agree its only as good as the person who adds the info, I notice many mistakes whilst gathering Cheshire / Manchester results. The amount of times I've had to E Mail League Sec over last few years over errors is quite a lot.

It was me who put Satchell Lane on Full Time. From duff information given by the Parish council to the club as to where they.

There are 2 grounds locally called College Fields in Hamble and confusing both with that name on the booking form.

the Referee and Sway turned up at Satchell Lane whilst Chamberlayne turned up at Hamble College!

one on Satchell Lane next to Hamble College and the match was played at the 2nd one of the same name which is in Spitfire Way which is closer to the village centre itself and you will note Full Time does not call that one College Fields!

The 2nd game v Liss on the 31st is being played at Spitfire Way

Re: [splodge] Satchell Lane [In reply to] Can't Post or Reply Privately

So ĎHamble Collegeí is actually The Hamble School then, which is directly opposite the 3 pitch venue in Satchell Lane where the youth tournament was taking place on Saturday.
The College Playing Fields, where the match took place,is actually in Baron Road, which is off Spitfire Way.
Make sure the Referee remembers his cards on the 31st, especially the red one, if the game is anything like the match against Sway.

I might just be tempted by that if it is a temporary arrangement. After 31st August, they don't appear to have any home games scheduled at least until the middle of October. Where were they supposed to be playing?

Supposed to be playing at Netley Central Sports, but not available until September. The College Playing Fields has a nice Pavilion and grass banking on one side.
