A date for your diary!
Well known Danish Groundhopper Michael Petersen is organising a groundhop in the East Jutland area of Denmark on the weekend of May 15th to 17th 2020.
It’s the penultimate round of Superleague games meaning games will be staggered and there are also games at other levels that weekend. For the Superleague and 2nd Division it’s post-split fixtures so games won’t be known until late March/early April. In the 1st Division there would be a choice of Viborg and Vejle ‪on the Friday evening‬.
Another nice point is that there are midweek rounds in the Superleague and 2nd Division in the week leading up to our chosen weekend. Anyone who’d like to come early would be likely to have games on Tuesday and Wednesday and there’d probably be something on Thursday as well albeit at a local level.
While you will appreciate accommodation and coach hire will be fairly expensive in Denmark flights to Billund are pretty cheap from Stansted.
HOWEVER, please do not book flights (some routes are released that far in advance yet) or accommodation as yet, this communication is just a heads up to gauge genuine interest in this weekend.
How it works is people get themselves to the host town/city (not quite decided yet) and then we hire a bus big enough for the numbers and the cost of this is divided equally between everyone attending.
