Arent Walsall Town Swifts just a rehash of Hawkins Sports?

Walsall Town Swifts have been founded by Wayne Thomas the former Walsall midfielder and commercial manager. His academy team have reached the age for senior men's football.
Hawkins Sports are concentrating on their Staffs County League side.

Looking like there will be no new grounds in league for next season then.

The Bilston town team is Bilston Town Community FC, not Bilston Community College.

Both clubs failed to fulfil fixtures last season

Rock Rovers v FC Darlaston Home side unable to play due to suspension

Church Stretton v Wolverhampton United - week before fixture was played the management left the club and players followed.

FCD & CST both awarded three points

Both clubs have now folded.

Division Two will continue with ten clubs which is nothing new as the first division when it was introduced had the same number of clubs.

Villan will be excited to learn that Worcester Raiders Reserves are playing their first three games (at least) at Brickfields Hub.

For Hub, read big park. No football furniture. My advice: take crooklock and a couple of minders.

Macky - The season could be over by Xmas. Does the league have any plans for an extended cup competition, for example a group phase champions league style cup for more games?

Seems an insult to only have 18 league games over some 40 Saturdays.

Perhaps they will play each other 3 or 4 times in normal league fixtures?

Why do Bilston still not use the ‘Community’ part of their name in their programme?

Will find out for you but out of interest aren't Bradford Park avenue also a community club? Do they use it in their title.

When it was Community College the Bilston Town Secretary used to write their programme notes I seem to recall.Sly

The world expert on all things BPA, Tim Clapham, tells me that they have been called Bradford (Park Avenue) ever since they reformed with the exception of season 2017-18 when they were known as Bradford (Park Avenue) Community. They dropped the Community part of their name after just one season and are now back to Bradford (Park Avenue) again.

Tragic to see Wolverhampton United fold. They had been ever present in the WMRL since 1976. That is some feat!

And before their 1976 creation as a result of a merger, one half of that merger had been in the WMRL since 1968.

As I say, sad to see a stalwart like this bite the dust!

Not sure you have your facts correct there, Sarumio. The two clubs that merged to form Wolves United in 1976 were Whitmore Old Boys and Oxley. Neither had ever been in the WMRL, although Whitmore OB had a spell in the Midland Combination at one stage.

Agree with you about their disappearance though. Great shame.

Sometimes you can get surprised when an appeal succeeds.
But i think they will have an up hill struggle with this.
It just seems to be a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
