Kensington & Ealing Borough 2 Fisher 3

Really smart facility this, host to clay and grass tennis courts, a 9 a side football pitch, cricket nets.
The football pitch is 3G and capable of hosting American Football/Rugby itís not a cage you can view the match like I did at slough last night really. There are 6 floodlights. Behind the far goal is Cafe Des Sports where you can get beer and food. There is a gym and toilets building in the corner where you could go upstairs and watch from a bit like Alresford. It also backs on Shepherds Bush Cricket Club, Good place for football I think it mainly hosts Middx League games.

The game was between Step 6 and 5 and never really had much quality but the swing of goals 0-1 1-1 2-1 2-2 2-3 helped make it much more watchable. K&EB will again play at Leatherhead next season, odd?

Kelty Hearts v Dunfermline Athletic XI, 0-3, H.T. 0-3, Att 731, Admission £5, No paper, Coffee £1
At New Central Park, Kelty

Last week a very young Pars side was overwhelmed by Civil Service Strollers. This was a stronger Dunfermline side with most of the starting line-up in the 18-21 age group, rather than the 16-18 year olds who had faced the Strollers. However, I would still have expected Kelty to have given them a harder game than this.

Kelty have recruited expensively over the Summer, attracting players from Championship and League One clubs. It seems that their Chairman is giving them full time jobs in his business so Kelty becomes an attractive proposition for some players. Nathan Austin, for example, has gone from full time with Inverness CT to Kelty this Summer. Their Manager, the former Rangers and Scotland midfielder Barry Ferguson wants them to play a particular style Ė patient, slow build-up football, much as he thrived on during his own career. But this isnít the Premier League and that approach may not be best suited to the Lowland League.

Dunfermline led early on with a fine finish by Stuart Morrison. Further goals by Lewis McCann and Callum Smith before half time had them in easy street. Kelty had lots of possession but made few chances and when they did they squandered them.

The second half succumbed to the inevitable blizzard of substitutions. The Pars finished with some younger players on display but Kelty still couldnít break them down.

Attendance of 731 was very impressive for a pre-season game. It is notable that so many young kids and teenagers attend Kelty games Ė the club really have captured the imagination of the local youth. Their latest project is an Ultras Group which will make itís debut at the first competitive home game. Quite a change from the old bays when it was the Buckie Crew in the school playground that created the atmosphere at Kelty games!

Record crowd at Stamfordís fairly new ground given at 1,573 a fiver in and a barmy night helped.posh changed their team at halftime and both scored 3
Last season I visited here tried their chips and they ended up in the bin,as most were doing at this game so I tried the chippy next to blackstones, birdys and excellent they were too.
