It's for all of last year's SPFL, and the Highland and Lowland league champions. The four clubs are the top four, as they are the European qualifiers with Celtic doing SPFL/SFA Cup double.

8 group winners progress, plus 4 best runners-up.

Groups played Round Robin, each team plays other once. Four games in total. First two teams in group are seeded. Unseeded teams will have one home and one away against a seed, and one home / away against an unseeded team.

Fixtures will be announced in due course. They have to take account of live tv game choices, ground shares, pitch availability, other pre-arranged commitments etc. For example, Clyde will have to playg away from Broadwood due to pitch work.

12 Qualifiers Joined in KO Round 1 by the 4 European Qualifiers.

Yep. That's why I used the expressions "weekend" and "midweek" - implying there'll be multi-day spreads.
Notable that the QFs' entry in the calendar is already written "24-26" Sept, implying Thursday night too for telly in that round (it's not an EL Thu).

According to Cove Rangers' website this match IS All-Ticket so may need a Plan B that Wednesday. Also All-Ticket, not surprisingly, is East Kilbride v St Mirren on Saturday 20th July although you can pay on the gate for the visit of Albion Rovers the previous Saturday 13th when my Plan A is Stirling Albion v Hibernian, a game which I thought might be all-ticket but according to Stirling Albion website you can pay on the gate. Stenhousemuir v Dundee United on Tuesday 16th is also all-ticket though you can order them by phone for an extra £2 postage fee when they go on general sale from 1st July.

Cove v Dundee sounds good to me - wonder what ticketing is like

Cove have finally updated their website with Dundee ticket details and sale dates:

Wednesday 3rd July between 6:30 - 7:30pm (prior to the friendly vs Inverurie Loco Works)

Friday 5th July between Noon and 2pm.

Saturday 6th July between 1:30 - 2:45pm (prior to the friendly vs Montrose)

Ground tickets for the clash with Dundee are £12 for Adults and £6 for Concessions.
There will also be a limited number of stand tickets available priced at £14 for Adults and £8 for Concessions.

Selling times for week commencing Monday 8th July will be advertised here in due course.

Have tried on numerous occasions to email the club to see if they will accept postal applications but each time am met with the same message saying 'There were some error(s) with your submission. You must submit the word that appears in the image'. Trouble is can't find anywhere on the screen this image with word I am supposed to submitUnsure.

Dundee say on their website they expect their 800 allocation to sell out. Capacity of Balmoral Stadium is 2,602 according to Wikipedia but suspect with segregation the safety limit for the game will be less than this.

from what ive read about the ground when its got a big crowd in you might be best advised to get stand tickets, otherwise you might spend the game looking at the back of peoples heads

As your Foreign Correspondent in Coveland, I would normally offer to help everybody out by popping along, but will be away from the day before ticket sales start until the following Tue. Note that Dundee started selling their allocation (to STHs) ten days earlier than Cove will. They're being a bit cute delaying it until they've got a H PSF, in the hope it'll boost the gate at that, no doubt.

I'll not be going to the match anyway - bracketed tick chasing at Ochilview for me that night.

And only those who get a stand ticket or get inside early and be first row on the barrier will get a view - broad flat standing.

Good luck all!

CHANGE OF PLAN !!

I'm not now heading down south until after work Wed, so I will go via Cove and be there for 6:30pm opening time.
Anybody who hasn't managed to sort something out with the club, PM me before 5:30pm on Wednesday.
No worries re cash upfront, we can sort that out later. But please don't change your mind afterwards, I don't want to be left with a fistful of tickets for a game I'm not even going to !
I'd try to get you stand tickets as priority, if there are any available. That way you stand more chance of actually seeing any of the game...

cheers
Phil

Managed to secure a ticket after phoning the Cove secretary last Friday.

East Kilbride v St Mirren may be more tricky. Home tickets will go on sale from K-Park on Tuesday 9th July, sold on a cash only basis, presumably still just the 500 seat stand open to home fans like when they staged that all ticket hop game a few years ago. St Mirren have been allocated the more recently built 300 capacity covered terrace behind one of the goals and tickets are only available to season ticket holders until 10am on Thursday 11th July when they go on general sale if there any remaining.
