West Cheshire League 2019-20 Can't Post or Reply Privately

Although a full constitution is yet to surface, various pieces of information concerning next season's make-up have emerged on league social media accounts in recent days.

Divisions One and Two shall each feature sixteen sides, whereas Division Three shall host fifteen. Amongst these shall be eight new entries.

Six are familiar names from the past:

Aintree Villa Reserves (re-formed)
Bootle Reserves (re-formed)
Helsby (re-entry, from Chester and Wirral League)
Marine Reserves (re-formed)
Poulton Victoria (re-formed)
Willaston (re-formed)

Whereas two are making their very first appearances:

Pensby (new)
Rainford United (from Wigan and District League)

Pensby share no connection with the defunct FC Pensby.

Still haven't seen the constitutions after this week's AGM but the following clubs have tweeted their status for next season:

Pensby and FC Bootle St Edmunds accepted into Div 3

Mersey Royal and Poulton Royal, 3rd and 4th placed finishers in Div 3, have been promoted to Div 2.

Wirral SB have folded in recent weeks, presumably opening up the vacancy in Division Two which Poulton Royal have filled. On an unrelated note, there is some talk on Twitter of Page Celtic mounting an "appeal". No indication is given as to what the situation here actually is. They finished as champions of Division Two last season, so whether these events might influence their placing next season remains to be seen.
FC Bootle St Edmunds have played for a number of years in the Merseyside Christian League.

As mentioned briefly in the "Step 7 Constitutions" thread, the Page Celtic appeal is a consequence of the FA's decision to promote them into the Liverpool County Premier League rather than West Cheshire Division One. Not knowing any precedents, I couldn't say whether or not they have a chance of success. Geographically they fall square within LCPL territory (Huyton), but we all know that there is more to it than that. Presumably the FA are concerned about the decline of the LCPL (13 clubs at Step 7 last season), so are looking to shore it up by whatever means they can.
