Welsh Premiership:
Bedwas (5th bottom P25-43 pts) v Bridgend (4th bottom P23-43 pts)
Bottom 4 going down with 5th bottom team playing off against Championship winners Pontypool.

In Reply To
Welsh Championship

The knockdown effect of the Premiership being cut from 16 to 12 clubs means the bottom 4 will be relegated from the Championship with only the top 4 mathematically safe so far.

Friday 12th April:
Premiership (Round 19/22:
Newcastle Falcons (bottom 29 pts) v Leicester Tigers (3rd bottom 24 pts)

Wouldn't normally mention the Premiership in this thread but this year there is a real threat of Leicester Tigers dropping down to the Championship. They could find themselves bottom with 3 games to spare if they lose without any bonus points, Newcastle score 4 tries and Worcester Warriors (2nd bottom 32 pts) pick up at least 2 points at home to Sale.

Welsh Premiership:
Bridgend (4th bottom P24-44 pts) v Llanelli (6th bottom P27-49 pts)
Bottom 4 going down with 5th bottom team playing off against Championship winners Pontypool. Looks like it will be between these two and Bedwas (5th bottom P26-47 pts) to avoid these places with Neath already doomed, Cross Keys and Bargoed almost gone.

This Saturday is the last day of the season for most leagues at level 5 and below. At Level 5, all relegation issues have already been resolved. Bournemouth and Hull have won their respective divisions while Barnstaple already know they will be visiting the London & SE Premier runners up in a promotion play-off, a league which has gone down to the wire with the top three still in contention:

Sutton & Epsom 97 pts (away to Bedford Athletic, just need 1 point to clinch title)
Wimbledon 93 pts (away to Tring)
Westcliffe 93 pts (away to Dorking)

Midlands Premier title also down to the wire:
Scunthorpe 98 pts (away to Broadstreet)
Luctonians 96 pts (away to Lichfield)

Whoever finishes 2nd will meet the North Premier runners up, either:
Blaydon 95 pts (away to Vale of Lune)
Harrogate 94 pts (home to Sandal)

Midlands 1 West (L6):

Two teams vying for play-off spot:
2nd Dudley Kingswinford 98 pts (home to Sutton Coldfield)
3rd Newbold on Avon 97 pts (away to Moseley Oak)

Level 7:
Midlands 2 West (North):
Two teams vying for play-off spot:
2nd Wolverhampton (16-0-5) 80 pts (away to Camp Hill)
3rd Tamworth (16-1-4) 79 pts (away to Newcastle)

Telford Hornest already down, 2nd relegation spot also down to the wire between:

Veseyans (4-0-17) 25 pts (away to Leek)

Midlands 2 West South:
Kenilworth v Old Laurentians
Kidderminster v Old Coventrians
OL's and Kiddy locked on 85 points, OL's 2nd on games won but have the much harder game at the champions. Old Coventrians 2nd bottom need bonus point win to have any chance of avoiding at the expense of Evesham, who just need a losing bonus point at home to already relegated Rugby St Andrews.

Midlands 2 East (South):
Long Buckby v Oakham. Two of four teams who could get relegated with already doomed Huntingdon & District:
Long Buckby (7-1-13) 41 pts
Vipers (7-1-13) 41 pts
Market Bosworth (7-0-14) 41 pts
Oakham (6-0-15) 37 pts

Level 8:
Midlands 3 West (North):

Level 9:

Winner takes all promotion decider in Eastern Counties 1 Shield:
Newmarket (3rd 26 pts) v Hadleigh (2nd 27 pts)

Midlands 4 West (North):
Aston Old Edwardians v Willenhall (2nd 76 pts)
Barton Under Needwood v Rugeley (3rd 73 pts)
2 points enough for Willenhall to clinch promotion.

Midlands 4 East (North)
Top 4 going into final round:
Grimsby (20-1-4) 104 pts (home to Meden Vale)
Mellish (20-0-5) 102 pts (away to Gainsborough)
East Retford (20-0-5) 99 pts (home to North Hykeham)
Cleethorpes (19-1-5) 99 pts (home to Nottinghamians)

Midlands 4 East (South):
Northampton BBOB v Northampton Mens Own

Top 3 going into final round:
Northampton BBOB (16-0-3) 80 pts
Sileby Town (16-0-3) 79 pts
Northampton Mens Own (15-1-3) 76 pts

The Northampton derby almost a winner takes all promotion decider, Mens Own need 4-0 or 5-1 win to overhaul BBOB. Neither can rely on Sileby Town slipping up, their final game is at Kempston who have lost every game and are bottom with just 2 points all season.

Northern Division

North 1 East (L6):
Bridlington (3rd bottom 49 pts) v Pocklington
Cleckheaton (4th bottom 53 pts) v Malton & Norton
Cleck need 2 points to survive and send Bridlington down.

Winner takes all relegation decider in North 1 West (L6):
Manchester (3rd bottom) v Firwood Waterloo (4th bottom)
62 points each, Manchester currently out of relegation zone on better WDL record (11-1-13 to 11-0-14). A draw could be enough to save both if Penrith (10-2-13) 64 pts get nothing in their final game at Stockport.

Lancs/Cheshire 1 (L7):
Bowdon (2nd 97 pts) v Bolton
Rochdale v Altrincham Kersal (1st 100 pts)

Lancs/Cheshire 2 (L8):
Congleton v Orrell (3rd 72 pts)
Eccles (2nd 74 pts) v Garstang

Durham/Northumberlad 1 (L7):
Durham City just need 1 point at home to relegated Ponteland to clinch title. West Hartlepool lead Northern by 1 point in race for home play-off vs Heath. Both will need a favour from their crosstown rivals:
Hartlepool Rovers v Northern
Novocastrians v West Hartlepool

Durham/Northumberland 3 (L9):
Blyth (2nd 71 pts) v Wallsend
Seaton Carew (1st 75 pts) v Seaham
A losing bonus point enough for Seaton Carew to clinch title barring a 55 point swing which is quite possible as Wallsend are bottom having lost every game. Both teams already promoted.

Yorkshire 1 (L7):
Hullensians (3rd bottom 41 pts) v Selby
Old Rishworthians (2nd bottom 38 pts) v Moortown
Old Rishworthians need to beat the champions to have any chance of staying up. Tie breaker in their favour should Hullensians collect a losing bonus point.

Yorkshire 2 (L8):
Goole (1st 99 pts) just need to beat relegated Old Otliensians to clinch title. Hoping they slip up are promoted Leodensian (2nd 97 pts) who host 2nd bottom Barnsley fighting for their lives along with the two teams immediadely above them who play each other:
Ripon v West Park Leeds
As it stands:
West Park Leeds (9-0-16) 54 pts
Ripon (10-0-15) 52 pts
Barnsley (9-1-15) 51 pts

Yorkshire 3 (L9):
Aireborough (2nd bottom P24-33 pts) v Halifax Vandals (4th bottom P25-40 pts)
Hemsworth v Baildon (3rd bottom P24-35 pts)
The games in hand for Aireborough and Baildon are both against Thornensians who still have 4 to play including a potential winner takes all 2nd place promotion decider at Harrogate Pythons on 4th May.

Lancashire ADM County League Division 1:
Burnley v Ormskirk (2nd 72 pts)
Clitheroe v Wigan (1st 73 pts)

Marlborough (18-7) 92 pts (home to Swindon)

Devonport Services v Okehampton (1st 104 pts)
Launceston (2nd 101 pts) v Lydney

Southern Counties North (L7):
Buckingham (2nd P21-77 pts) v Stow-on-the-Wold
Marlow (3rd P20-73 pts) v Reading
Play-Off at Frome awaits team finishing 2nd. Marlow's final game is at High Wycombe on Easter Saturday, easily reachable from the morning hop game at Stokenchurch.

Southern Counties South (L7):
Corsham (4th bottom 41 pts) v Walcot
Devizes v Thatcham (3rd bottom 38 pts)

Western Counties North (L7):
Cheltenham (4th bottom 51 pts) v Old Richians (3rd bottom 48 pts)
Old Richians need 4-0 or 5-1 win to send Cheltenham down but could still have an anxious wait themselves as 2nd bottom Chosen Hill Former Pupils (47 pts) have two games to play. They host Matson.

Western Counties West (L7)
Three teams chasing title and play-off spot:
Sidmouth (19-2-4) 98 pts (away to Saltash)
Crediton (20-2-3) 96 pts (home to Wadebridge Camels)
Wellington (19-3-3) 95 pts (away to Chard)

Three teams fighting to avoid relegation with doomed Paignton:
Bideford 44 pts (home to Winscombe)
Chard 43 pts (home to Wellington)
Truro 41 pts (away to Falmouth)

Cornwall/Devon (L8):
Honiton (2nd 105 pts) v Topsham
Penryn (1st 108 pts) v Plymstock Albion Oaks
Hayle (3rd bottom 35 pts) v Torquay Athletic
Pirates Amateurs (4th bottom 38 pts) v Plymouth Argaum

Gloucester Premier (L8):
Spartans just need losing bonus point at Frampton Cotterell to clinch title.
Bristol Saracens chasing them are home to Whitehall need 1 point to secure promotion play-off with Burnham-on-Sea. Longlevens hoping they slip up are away to bottom team Gloucester Old Boys, who are down and will be joined by either
Widden Old Boys (8-0-13) 43 pts (away to Berry Hill) or
Gordon League (6-1-14) 40 pts (home to Hucclecote)

Gloucester 1 (L9):
Cheltenham North (2nd 80 pts) need to beat champions Ross-on-Wye at home to secure promotion. A point behind them are Old Cryptians who visit Dursley.

Gloucestershire 2 South (L10):
2nd Bream P18 (13-1-4) 64 pts (+208)
3rd Ashley Down Old Boys P17 (12-1-4) 59 pts (+179)
Ashley Down need bonus point win in their final game at Cotham Park, and by 29 points if their two regular season wins over Bream count for nothing in a tie break, to secure play-off away to Fairford.

Dorset & Wilts 1 North (L8):
Avonvale v Pewsey Vale (3rd bottom 26 pts)
Calne (2nd bottom 24 pts) v Trowbridge II
Pewsey have the harder game, needing win at the 2nd placed team to survive.

Welsh Division 1 North:
Bethesda v Llandudno
Llandudno need 2 points to clinch title in their penultimate game. If they lose it could come down to a winner takes all decider at Pwllheli on 27th April.

Welsh Division 1 East Central:
Mountain Ash (4th bottom P19-41 pts) v Porth Harlequins (3rd bottom P18-37 pts)
I believe the bottom 3 teams in each division of WNL1 are being relegated this season (bottom 2 in the 11 team division 1 West Central) as a result of the knockdown effect of the Premiership cutting its numbers from 16 to 12 teams.

Welsh Division 2 West - penultimate game:
Pontyberem (3rd 72 pts) v Pembroke (2nd 75 pts)
I believe the top 2 are still being promoted in each WNL2 division this season despite the knockdown effect from above.

Saturday 27th April

Final round of games in National Leagues. Nothing left to be decided in either Division 2's but plenty at both ends in National League One:

Loughborough Students v Ampthill.
Ampthill just need losing bonus point to clinch title at a team already relegated. Hoping they get nothing are Old Elthamians, who need bonus point win at home to Rotherham.

Moseley (5th bottom 64 pts) v Caldy (4th bottom 61 pts)
Both teams just above relegation zone, Moseley only need losing bonus point to survive, any win will do for Caldy and consign Cambridge (59 pts, away to Sale) and Esher (56 pts, away to Blackheath) to relegation.

Welsh Championship

The knockdown effect of the Premiership being cut from 16 to 12 clubs means the bottom 4 will be relegated from the Championship with the bottom 2, Newbridge and Rhydyfelin, already down.
Still in danger of joining them:
Maesteg Quins P20-43 pts (PD -77)
Trebanos P19-42 pts (PD -14)
Beddau P21-42 pts (PD -86)
Bedlinog P22-42 pts (PD -101)
Newcastle Emlyn P20-33 pts (PD -175)

Saturday 27th April:

Ystrad Rhondda v Beddau

Saturday 4th May:

Ystrad Rhondda v Beddau (1915)
Beddau will avoid relegation provided they avoid losing by 16 points or more.

The Two-Legged Play-Off's for promotion to the Championship has begun. Wasn't sure if there would be any promotion this year with the Premiership being cut to 12 teams but there is and the Championship, by my calculations, must be running with 14 teams next season, presumably being reduced to 12 the following year.

West Play-Off:
Tues 7th May - Ystalyfera 34-28 Felinfoel
Sunday 12th May (1500) - Felinfoel v Ystalyfera

East Play-Off (both 1430):
11/5 Brecon v Glamorgan Wanderers
18/5 Glamorgan Wanderers v Brecon

Rhymney v St Julians HSOB
Top 3:

Saturday 18th May

A few titles and promotion issues still to be decided in the lower reaches of Welsh rugby. In Division 3 East B, Rhymney (2nd 70 pts) can leapfrog leeders Llanhilleth (73 pts) to take the title with a win at home to St Julians HSOB. Both teams already promoted to Division 3 East A

Division 3 West Central A title decider:
Bridgend Sports (1st 92 pts) v Pyle (2nd 89 pts)
I think Bridgend Sports hold the advantage in any tie break due to their superior points difference although Pyle beat them 13-6 in the return earlier in the season.

Division 3 West Central B:
Four teams can still win the league, top 2 go up to Div 3 West Central A:
Bryncethin 22-83
Baglan 21-83
Cwmllynfell 21-82
Glyncorrwg 21-79

Final fixtures:
18/5 Baglan v Rhigos
18/5 Crynant v Glyncorrwg

Cwmllynfell were due to play their final game at home to Pontycymer on Thursday 16th but this now OFF, visitors unable to raise a team. Not yet known if Cwmllynfell will be awarded a walkover win.

Division 3 East Central C:
Maesteg (4th 58 pts) v Whitchurch
A win for Maesteg will see them finish 2nd and clinch promotion to Division 3 East Central B, the first step on a long road back after financial problems forced them to pull out of Division 1 before the start of the season.

THORNENSIANS v HARROGATE PYTHONS

Following their RFU Junior Vase run all the way through to the final at Twickenham. Thornensians have been playing catch up with league fixtures, culminating with this 2nd v 3rd clash at Church Balk, which will decide who accompanies Wensleydale (Gromits?), to Division Two next season.
