May 4 2019

Oberliga NOFV-Oberliga Nord Lichtenberg 47 1 SC Staaken 0 Att 326 Entry 5 Euros (Pensioner) Programme 1 Euro Badge 4 Euros

My second visit to the HOWOGE-Arena Hans Zoschke for this game between top of the table L47 and 13th SCS. The game was won in the second half with an excellent strike in the 73rd minute.
We caught the U5 from Alexanderplatz to Magdalenenstrasse then walked up Ruschestraasse to the ground on the right hand side. The clubhouse is at this part of the ground and behind one goal. Seating is at one side just before and after the halfway line. A very enjoyable ground to visit. After this result L47 stay top with SCS down to 15th and a relegation spot.

May 5

Berlin Liga S V Tasmania Berlin 3 SC Charlottenburg 2 Att 102 Entry 5 Euros (pensioner) Programme Free Badge 5 Euros

My first look at the Berlin Liga and a very enjoyable visit with an excellent game as well. 5 goals and woodwork hit 3 times. The winning goal coming in the 89th minute after the away side had equalised twice. Tasmania still however remain second with SCC in relegation zone

We travelled to Alt Templehof on the U6 then bus 246 to Eschersheimer Strasse. Crossed road with a Lidl on the right. There are 2 other pitches on the complex and an Ice Stadium. No club house but the normal food/drink in Germany behind the goal with tables and chairs. Around 600 seats on each side around the half way line.

Live music at half time which was very enjoyable (think German Pet Shop Boys). Happy to put money in the hat that came round.

Programme very unusual being around 4 inches wide and 12 inches long.

As usual the Berlin football paper Fussball Woche is worth buying for 3 Euros giving details of next weeks games and grounds where being played.

Any talk on where L47 will play games next season should they win the league? Dynamo and Altglienicke are already at the FLJS and not even sure what the situation is with them as the stadium is due for demolition so a new one can be built. Small lights have been erected so maybe it is being rebuilt in stages so current clubs can remain in situ.

No sorry. No mention of any ground change. They are really advertising the important coming up game against Tennis Borussia Berlin who are in second place. The game is on May 18 at 13.30

A forum member recently visited the Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark for a BFC game and reported on stadium demolition. I think this could be wide of the mark. Floodlights are being upgraded and Dynamo are playing the last couple of home games back in the old Sportforum but Altglienicke are using the stadium for last home game. Union fans said the place wasn't fit for pigs when they were forced to use it but there was a good reason for that. Hope they don't dismantle the pylons as they have Eastern Europe written all over them and are becoming rare as the years go by.

Yesterdays home game for BFC Dynamo against Babelsberg was played at Sportforum Hohenschonhausen and attracted a crowd of 1013.
Was not aware date had been changed from Sunday until I looked for the result.

Lictenberg 47 won the game against Tennis Borussia Berlin 2-0 in front of a crowd of 1452. In the match report they talk about the home Regional games next season at the current stadium.

An excellent crowd and they have taken the title but I thought lights were needed in Regionalliga.
