Frenford's 3G pitch is another victim of alleged council bureaucracy. Work is underway but nowhere near completion. Frenford will be groundsharing at Bowers and Pitsea for the foreseeable future.

I can confirm (as per my ramble on the artificial pitches main thread) that Chatham Town's artificial pitch is up and running.

The stadium now looks very different as the pitch has been moved and levelled and is now much nearer the cemetery (dug outs) side of the ground than the Bourneville Road side. Views from the Bourneville Road stand are now much improved.

More major stadium works are planned for next summer...

Seeing Chatham Town mathematically relegated in April 17 made me the hopper I am.

Worcester Raiders.

A recent article in the local press covered the improvements being made at Claines Lane, including a series of photos of the (grass) pitch that Raiders are about to resume playing on this season. One of the photos showed the intended site of the new 3G pitch, a few yards away from the current one. As the current pitch has just had money spent on it installing floodlights and a new stand, is it a definite that Raiders will move to the 3G or might that just be ring-fenced for use by the county FA, as part of the wider development that they'll have built and aim to move into next year?

Article referred to is here: https://www.worcesternews.co.uk/...emporary-facilities/. I'm reading the "temporary facilities" as being the changing/refreshment facilities rather than the stand, lights etc.

So since April they have put up floodlights and demolished the existing cover. Wow. This rivals the Oldbury Viaduct roadworks...

Looks like they've demolished the clubhouse as well. It was a better ground before they started working on it.

Gloucester City - 4G - most likely for 20/21 when back at Meadow Park although the club still have some hope to be back some time later this season.

Went along to Ascot United's opening night last Tuesday, great facility they've got going on, loads of space to expand and if you love a terrace, oh boy!

They are at home again tonight if you missed it.

Also, Windsor's chairman has announced he wants an artificial surface at Stag Meadow: https://www.footballinbracknell.co.uk/...face-at-stag-meadow/
