Can someone confirm when the FA Trophy semi finals ,were stopped being played at neutral grounds.
Remember attending Scarborough v Ashford Town(Kent) in 1973 at London Road Peterborough.

The last time the semis were single games was 1974-75.

Pretty sure there were 2 leg semi finals in 74/5 as my club Wimbledon lost to Scarborough in the QF and they beat Bedford home and away in the semis

Looking at fchd, the first 2 leg semis were in season 73/74

Re: the previous post, the website in the link gives results from 2 legs for the 1973-74 semis, but a single result for the 1974-75 semis.

From the info on that link, Matlock lost 1-0 and shouldn’t have made the final! In fact they lost the first leg1-0 but won the away leg 2-0 hence they won the tie overall

Scarborough won both legs v Bedford 3-1 ie 6-2 on aggregate, not 3-1 as suggested on that site.
