The New Wembley - A Statistical Conundrum Can't Post or Reply Privately

How many competitive club matches have taken place at the New Wembley? I make it 190 or 179, dependent upon whether the Community Shield (which uses different substitution rules) counts.
Thoughts anyone.

I'd say Community Shield counts.

Have you allowed for the lower league games eg Stonewall in the Middlesex league in 2018 and I think there was an earlier one/

Personally I always thought of the Charity Shield as a pre-season friendly. Maybe the Community Shield is a bit different now!

And there have also been 4 women's FA cup finals played at "new" Wembley

Just because you're paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not out to get you.

I can't see how you can count a match between the current league winners & Fa cup winners with a trophy at stake as a friendly.

I need to have the last word, as it always looks as if I am right !

Certainly wasn't a friendly when Bremner and Keegan had a small coming together 45 years ago.

Why not just do total matches?

Must be easier to count up and avoids puerile
posts as to what actually constitutes a game or not. FFS

FA Vase semi programme wanted: 2001 Taunton v Clitheroe.

FA Trophy programmes wanted: 1969-70 Any round from first season. Have many but plenty of gaps still to fill.

In which case, don't forget to add the games Hashtag United played there before they joined the Eastern Counties League

That works for me....can't beat a comprehensive list.

No arguments then...it is what it is.
