Mishi Can't Post or Reply Privately

I've seen on Twitter this morning that Mishi, sometime of this parish, suffered a heart attack while at a game in Kent last night, and is seriously ill in hospital. Best wishes to him.

Saw that yesterday, think it happened during the daytime. Either way, wishing him a speedy and full recovery.

Likewise, I saw this news yesterday. Here's wishing the silly sod a swift recovery.

Re: [R.S.Cavendish] Mishi [In reply to] Can't Post or Reply Privately

Long standing friend of Mishi's here. Mishi is currently in a medically induced coma. The expectation is that the medics will start bringing him round before too long.

A big debt of gratitude is owed to the actions of those at the Royal Engineers FC game he was watching. By all reports without their actions he would no longer be with us.

Mishi's brother has posted a couple of updates on a Dulwich Hamlet facebook site. I'm not on Facebook but believe this is a private site. However his comments are usually re-posted pretty quickly on the Dulwich Hamlet Urban 75 forum. That is probably the best publicly available source of information. I will try to re-post anything that I am told here - subject to it being in the public domain at the time.

The hospital has asked only close friends and family visit at this point in time as he can only have two visitors at a time due the size of the area he is currently located in.

I'm pleased to be able to confirm that Mishi is fully conscious and talking though he currently remains in intensive care.

A message posted on his behalf can be found on the DHFC twitter feed, he hopes to be out of hospital in about a week.

Mishi left hospital yesterday. He won't be returning to the Hamlet for a short while as he feels it may be a bit much for him. You might spot him at a lower level game in the vicinity instead.

Great news although if he is like me, it is more stressful to miss a game than attend one. Speedy recovery Mishi.

Pleased to hear this. I've met him a few times, including at an SAL game where I produced the programme and he was the only spectator!
