Pennine League, 2018-19 'winter' ARL season Can't Post or Reply Privately

Line-ups confirmed for amateur rugby league's 2018-19 Pennine League 'winter' season. As expected, some clubs (Greetland All Rounders, Upton and Worth Village, for instance) who packed in during the 2018 Yorkshire League 'summer' season have now re-emerged. The top division features Stanley Rangers, who quit the flagship National Conference League earlier this year. Hollinwood (Oldham) are the only Lancashire club taking part.

Championship: Doncaster Toll Bar, Hanging Heaton, Ovenden, Queens, Sharlston Rovers, Stanley Rangers, Upton.

Division One: Clayton, Drighlington, East Leeds, Greetland All Rounders, Hunslet Warriors, Moorends, Ossett Trinity, Woodhouse.

Division Two: Crigglestone All Blacks, Dearne Valley Bulldogs, Eastmoor Dragons, Illingworth, Kinsley, Methley Royals, Worth Village, Wyke.

Division Three: Beeston Broncos, Cowling Harlequins, Hollinwood, King Cross Park, Moldgreen, Seacroft, Sheffield Hawks, Wakefield City, Wortley Dragons.

Any queries, league secretary Sue Taylor (huddsarl@hotmail.com) is usually very helpful.

Might contemplate Hanging Heaton or Toll Bar if ever I can find the fixtures out and get confirmation they're on!

Hanging Heaton ARLFC have pulled out, even before the new season has begun. They're now targeting the Yorkshire Men's League, and plan to join for the 2019 season. A statement on the Dewsbury club's Facebook feed reads:

Today marks big changes for us as a club. We have taken the decision to look to the future and start with our transition from a winter team to a summer side. We have decided to reconsider entering the Pennine winter League and enter into the Yorkshire Men's League autumn division, which will be a gradual path into the Yorkshire Men's summer League, which starts in March. We will compete on a friendly basis until the the end of 2018 with a few more friendlies into the start of 2019 when we will enter into our maiden campaign as a summer club. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Sue Taylor, Steve Addy and Stuart Brown, of the Pennine League management committee, who have supported us through the last nine years as a Pennine League club. We thank them for their support and advice, and wish the Pennine League all the best going forward.

Four out of ten off already

Was considering Seacroft but that one has gone and no web presence to locate them in any event. League website does not give club addresses

Unlikely to be any amateur RL this winter for me
