Can understand why after the goings on at Nantporth on Saturday with 10 arrests. An incident near the stadium and 2 Police officers ending up in hospital with others being kicked and spat at after trouble in the town.

It was always a possibility, especially once the match had been moved to 7.30pm for television coverage, allowing the hooligan element to get tanked up during the day.

It's a particular shame given it would have been such a good day for the competition otherwise. The first 2,000+ gate in the Welsh Cup since the English League clubs were removed, and good gates in some of the other ties that were all played despite the weather on Saturday.

Final on Sunday May 5th (14.30) according to CQN. Where do you think they will play it?

The logical place, geographically, would be Airbus UK at Broughton. I would have thought though that CQN would want it to be on a grass pitch, which would make it Bangor City.

Let's hope they are quicker revealing the venue than they have been for the FAW Trophy final.

I've been to a few of these finals and enjoyed the three at Wrexham more than the others but looking at WDYG a report gave the crowd of around the 100 mark at Latham Park yesterday and the Saturday game would hardly have had them queueing to get in so I take it the FAW won't sanction the finance of playing at the Racecourse.

No, in terms of a crowd for the final it would have been better if it had been Barry in the final. They are the only club of the four semi-finalists with a good-sized number of travelling fans. A Barry - Cardiff Met final, played in South Wales, at Bridgend or the FAW's Dragon Park in Newport would have been the best outcome.

The final will be played at Cefn Druids on 5th May, ko 14.45.

One interesting statistic about the finalists is that they both reached this stage without playing a home game in the competition this year.
