The Strathspey Thistle v Inverness Caley Thistle XI friendly on Saturday is now being played at 'Fort George' according to the ICT website.

Having looked at Google Maps it looks like there are a few pitches on the B9006 road into the Fort itself.

Who normally plays there, if anyone?

They've been used on occasion by various teams in the Inverness Amateurs (formerly Welfare) Leagues down the years and for Army Football. The Army teams who played in the Highland League a long time ago also played at "Fort George" but I think that was on a pitch within the Fort itself, now traversed by a pathway.
The pitches at Fort George have been ICT's training ground since around 2006.

Another interesting friendly venue for a North team tomorrow: Elgin City play Kelty Hearts at Home Street in Aberfeldy.
