Who won the Yorkshire League 1966/67? Can't Post or Reply Privately

Baffled by how there are so many different sources on this one - was it Bridlington Town or Bridlington Trinity?

- Town's website states they were runners-up to Trinity
- FCHD (and again) states Town won it
- Non-League Matters archive states Trinity won it

My old records, I think FCHD has similar except for goals and the tied 6th

Just to add to the confusion.

NCEL have this document on their site, which lists all Yorkshire League Champions and tables which has Trinity winning http://www.ncefl.org.uk/...hireleaguetables.pdf

Don't know their source though. EDIT: It refers to handbook occasionally, not sure which though.

Anyone know anyone who played for either team then?

They also list Midland League Champions on their site achive.

Bob Barton's Non League book says Trinity

Weekly Wynner {NCE} Football League handbook season 1990-91 says Trinity

The programme from a Trinity home match I attended in 1981 has 'Yorkshire League Div 1 Champions' in their honours list for 66/7.

That's just a "scrape" of the club's Wikipedia article

Where is that from John?

That version is also in John Guilfoyle's Yorkshire League tables book.

Was the championship possibly decided with a play-off, then?

The PDF tables for both the Midland & Yorkshire Leagues were put together a couple of years ago [circa 2014] from the collected Handbooks of both Leagues. It was done when Jason took over the running of the NCEFL website.

Caveat that the Handbooks contained numerous errors.
