The timetable: https://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/...fa/calendar2018.html
The access list: https://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/.../AccessList2018.html

The headline difference is that there are 26 automatic slots in the Champions League - only six places in the qualifying rounds
Four without a knock out game for the top four countries, Spain, Germany, England and Italy
Two each for France and Russia
One for Portugal, Ukraine, Belgium and Turkey
One for the Champions League winners 2018 (or if they qualify directly, for the champions of the Czech Republic)
One for the Europa League winners 2018 (or if they qualify directly, for the third placed club in France)

The losers are teams like BATE and Celtic who have a much reduced chance of playing in group games.
At the other end of the competition, there is a preliminary round for four teams, (from Gibraltar, San Marino, Andorra and Kosovo) - single matches due on June 26/29, Tuesday and Friday - so assumedly all three in one location. At least the Friday is a rest day in the World Cup - but I cannot see this match gaining much attention

All teams knocked out of the Champions League at any stage now have a Europa League match to play
The three teams who lose in the Preliminary, and the 17 from Qualifying round 1 come in for Qualifying round 2 of the Europa

There is also a Preliminary round for the Europa League, so one more round of qualifying compared to previous years, with 16 teams involved in these games (Starts 28 June, when England play their last group game in World Cup)
The 16 are from
Lithuania (1) - third place in League (Trakai)
Malta (2) - second and third in League
Wales (3) - Cup Winners, second and third in league
Faroes (3) - Cup Winners, second and third in league (NSI Runavik, KI Klaksvik and B36 Torshavn)
Gibraltar, San Marino, Andorra (2 each) - Cup Winners, second in League
Kosovo (1) - Cup Winners

To add to the excellent post above.

The Champions League 6 qualifying slots are split 2 for non-champions and 4 for champions - two qualifying paths remain.

Losing Champions League clubs in qualifying get a second chance in the Europa League. The Europa League group stage features 17 clubs exempt; 18 guaranteed Champions League losers (12 champions through separate Europa qualifying path; 6 non-champions direct); and 13 clubs through the main Europa qualifying path which is reserved primarily for 141 Europa clubs but also includes the 3 non-champions eliminated in ECL2Q.

Thus: ECL Entrants 81 Group Stage football 50-53; Europa Entrants 158 Group Stage football 27-30.

Clubs guaranteed Group Stage football 2018-19:
Spain, Germany, England, Italy 6; France 5; Russia 4; Portugal, Ukraine, Belgium 3 Turkey, Czech Republic, Switzerland 2
Leaving 32 places of which the countries named above will have another 22 clubs attempting to qualify.
