A couple of cracking ties in the 4th Qual.

South Shields v Hartlepool United
Dagenham & Redbridge v Leyton Orient

On form Shaw Lane look a good bet to cause an upset by beating Barrow.

The Daggers v Orient game could be the one for the camera.

I would have thought Stourbridge v Macclesfield stood a chance....

....forgot: Stourbridge aren't allowed on telly.

Paulton Rovers v Sutton Utd also a possible although I don't think it'll get the nod.

Could be billed as the "battle of teams who once got thrashed by Norwich" - rolls off the tongue doesn't it

BBC wanted the Paulton Rovers v Sutton United game but the visitors turned down the request due to the early start that would have been required.

The BBC and FA seem to be leaving it a bit late to announce which match will be shown at 12.30 this weekend. Not exactly fair to the fans of either club. Anyone heard what match they will show ?

Nothing advertised as yet. It seems they had no Plan B after getting the KO from Sutton Utd and yes asking a club to switch start time with 5 days notice is unfair to all concerned.

Doubt very much you'd have to go 120 miles west beyond Paulton Rovers to get a pasty at the footy. 120 miles from Sutton maybe, but not from Paulton. Tongue

I'd have said that South Shields v Hartlepool was the tie of the round and that's the one I'd have gone for.

Many of the Haringey players work on a Saturday morning, which is why they turned it down at such short notice. They also have a big boot sale in the mornings at the ground to, and didn't want to cancel that for the same reason.

Both Man City and Man Utd have home ties in the 3rd round so the Man Utd will probably be move for live tv. A Man Utd FA Cup game being on live tv is now a tradition it's happened for so long. Their opponents, Derby, doesn't really get my pulse racing, it is just another Premier League vs Championship tie.

Fleetwood or Hereford vs Leicester looks like a possible tv game, especially if Hereford win their replay. Nottm Forest vs Arsenal looks like a good pick for tv as is SHrewsbury vs West Ham and of course Liverpool vs Everton.

Forget 'especially if Hereford win the tie' If Fleetwood win then there is the Vardy factor as a good reason for televising it.

It does mine, but I am a Rams fan, however, depending how many are shown live, thinking as a neutral, there are better shouts perhaps
Not fifty yet and The Rams have been Champions twice in my lifetime! Though that applied when when I was 7!
