Apologies if somebody has brought this up before, but I think this is the best new football magazine to hit the racks for years. Costs £4.50 in the shops but available for £3 per month by direct debit. I was a bit wary of a years subscription given the frequency with which magazines fold these days but even after 4 issues, I feel I've got my money's worth. Nothing to do with Danny Last or any of that crew, in fact I don't recognise any of the names behind it, but it's very slickly presented and even for a seasoned European hopper, it contains loads of info. There are usually a couple of features on UK clubs, but in this months issue for example there's a guide to the Finnish League; groundhopping in Madrid, Scadinavian hopping, Bruges etc and for those who've been tempted to "go it alone" abroad but haven't yet done so, it would really fire the imagination with guides on how to get to the grounds, places to stay, eat and drink, how to get tickets etc I missed issue 1 in the shops but Jim Stewart, who appears to be the main man behind it, sent me a free copy with issue 2. I don't normally go round promoting publications like this, so it must be good.......... http://www.footballweekends.co.uk/

I agree - really enjoying it. Not sure how they have arranged their sales outlets though. I happened across issue 1 in WH Smith in Leominster and immediately took out a subscription. I haven't seen it in the much larger WH Smith in Hereford. I'm still waiting for issue 4 to arrive in the post. Issues 2 and 3 came before it appeared in the shops but I saw issue 4 on the racks in WH Smith in Bath last Thursday. Any other subscribers still waiting for number 4 to arrive ?

This is a great magazine, I have taken out a subscription and have all the back issues. If someone had asked me what type of football mag I be interested in this is exactly it. I find many of the usual magazines boring but this is a hoppers dream and as someone that hasn't visited many grounds abroad its a fantastic guide.

It's a superb mag, I know how you feel after subbing to the Non League Mag, took out a £42 subscription and got one issue. Publisher refused to refund, saying that the person was out of office or would get back to me, but they never did At least you pay one issue at a time with this one, I pay £3.33 as I like you was not so confident and went for a shorter subscription
