So, division one East & West but only one Division Two? Seems a bit odd.

Re Shepton Mallet reserves.
All WSM's fault imo, Shepton Mallet kept bringing in WSM youth players to their 1st team squad on loan. That just sent the message to the reserve players that however well they played the first team door was shut.

Plus, after watching them a few times last season, their manager ( SM reserves) did his utmost to destroy the confidence of his players whilst the game was going on, awful management from the sidelines.

Larkhall Res have gone, the structure is rather farcical, county wide in bottom division, regionalised once promoted, then county wide in top flight.

Iíd say this is a case of turkeys not voting for Christmas and the leagueís hands effectively being tied on the matter.

Last season, the Somerset County League operated a 1-2-2 formation. But without enough clubs to sensibly operate 5 divisions, they had little choice but to reduce back down to 4.

Of course a 1-1-2 formation would have been best, but in order to do that the league would have had to consolidate its two Division Ones into one division, which would result in a mass demotion of the lower placed regionalised Div One clubs down to regionalised Divisions Twos. And thatís where the turkeys voting for Christmas thing comes in.

Itís easy to mass promote sides, itís a lot less easy to pass a resolution that results in mass relegations!

The Middlesex County League has operated a similar 1-2-1 formation for about the past 6 years with no complaints

To decide the best method to reduce the numbers of member clubs for 18/19, proposed I think to limit each division to 16

Reintroduce regionalised Div 2 would seem logical. They could then expand the league from 68 to 80!

Meeting voted 64 to 4 in favour of the league management committee's proposal to restructure the league back to Premier, Div 1, Div 2, Div 3 from next season onwards - reducing total numbers in the league from 68 to 64 - 4 divisions of 16 - over the next few seasons.

Looks like Berrow & Highbridge Reserves have gone from Division 2 after they couldn't field a team in their first match of the season.

There is a Berrow & Highbridge Reserves listed in Division 3 of the Taunton & District League constitution though.

Quandary, I'm aware of a team that constantly played players last season who were not signed on for that club.
The team plays in the Premier division.
Well, yesterday they played and I know for fact that a player who played is not signed on for the club.
It's cheating plain and simple.
Can someone on here please advise me who I should contact at the Somerset County league please.

email the league secretary. His/her address is in the league handbook, readily downloadable from the league's FA Full-Time page.

Churchill Club 70 have gone and I think that Congresbury may also have gone. The League will organising Divisions of 15 next season at this rate.

I believe their pitch has been vandalised. Hopefully they're still going.

Kewstoke Lions have gone.

Looks like the reserves are now the firsts in Weston and District league division 3.
