South London Alliance Can't Post or Reply Privately

It looks as if its gone.
Merged with Bromley and District to form new Bromley and South London League.
I can't find much information other than a new Facebook with no entries.
Can any one confirm the constitution or even that this is in fact correct.

Baldon Sports have posted the Division Two lineup on their website.

Equinoccial have said there's going to be 38 teams (as of 16 June, might be more now) in the league and will be in the Premier Division.

Welling Town Reserves are in the league (they were going to be in the Kent County League but got rejected). They've confirmed that the Bromley & District League and South London Alliance have merged.

This is the constitution I've seen thus far:

Premier: Centresports, TenEmBee, Old Cofeians (BDL team), Equinoccial, West Bromley Albion, Tudor Sports, Croydon BR, Eltham Town, Welling Town Reserves (new), Crayford Arrows Reserves (new)

One: Eden Park Rangers, Real Mayo, Farnborough Old Boys Guild (BDL team), River Plate, Rutland Rangers, Kingsdale, Lewisham Athletic Reserves, Meridian (new), Russellers (new), Crofton Albion (new)

Two: Baldon Sports, KSG Falcons, Junior Reds, Old Colfeians, Farnborough [might be Old Boys Guild, unsure], Croydon BR Reserves, Shirley Town, Red Velvet Reserves (new), Frazier (new), South Dulwich (new), Groundhoppers (new)

If I see a full constitution, I'll let you know.

Thanks for that.
The merger certainly makes sense even if it does mean the SLA passes into history. Which is sad.

No problem. Yeah it is, sad to see another league fold.

I make it 10 teams have made the switch from the SLA (so far):
Premier: Croydon BR, Kingsdale, Lewisham Athletic Reserves, Tudor Sports, West Bromley Albion

One: Croydon BR Reserves, Eltham Town, Farnborough Old Boys Guild A [I think], Old Colfeians [Reserves, I think], Shirley Town.

Teams who aren't listed in BSLL (so far):
Premier: Golden Lion, Long Lane A (folded during 2016-17), Metrogas A (folded during 2016-17), Our Lady Seniors, Thames Borough [Red Velvet promoted to the Kent County League]

One: Bexlians A (folded during 2016-17), Danson Sports, Iron Tugboat City, Johnson & Phillips Reserves, London Borough (folded during 2016-17), Seven Acre Sports

Premier: Dulwich Village Reserves, Toby Watkins
One: AFC Bexley A, Charlton Athletic Deaf, Highfield & Welling, Old Bromleians A, Welling Park A

I haven't seen a full constitution yet, but there will be a new website for the league, a work in progress at the minute however.

The website confirms there will be a Division Three, but I don't know any more than that at the moment.

Why?
Doesn't the area already have a step 7 league?
Shouldn't there be leagues below step 7?

I think it is more important that the whole game system becomes a whole game solution, and that leagues below step 7 are given a place in the world, with a clear promotion route.

Re: [leohoenig] South London Alliance [In reply to] Can't Post or Reply Privately

Yes but we need two step 7 set ups with the structure below them.
As it stands in a normal season the SCEDIV1 can only relegate one club. Because the Kent County league can only promote one.
It needs another step 7 based nearer or in South East London. Each promoting one club.
Much as i regret it i believe that only the lower divisions of a step 7 league will survive.
District leagues are folding at a rapid rate i am not sure any will be around much longer.

The league is now on Full-Time, Division Three confirmed, but missing a few teams in all four divisions.

Changed my mind about that being a step 7 league.
It does not look anywhere near it.

Cant be correct.

I don't think it's correct either.

From what I saw of the leagues on Equinoccial's Facebook page (and they said there'll be 38 teams in the league, we're missing 13), the Premier Division and Division One had 10 teams, Division Two had 11. Division Three is new to me as I haven't seen the lineup anywhere.

Welling Town reserves have announced that they have belated got into the County League so that accounts for one of the 13.

Welling Town Reserves were in the original constitution I listed, so we're still missing 13, and one team down to 37.

I've tweeted Kingsdale & Farnborough Old Boys Guild and asked Equinoccial (to be known as EFC I think for this season) if they have the full constitution anywhere, if they reply I'll let you know.

Re: [Unicorn] South London Alliance [In reply to] Can't Post or Reply Privately

I've been browsing Twitter, came across Old Roan's page and they have posted the lineup for Division Three. Both Equinoccial and Old Roan's photos cut Division Two in (an unequal) half, but found the lineup on Baldon Sports website.

Division Three:
AFC London, Danson Sports, Dulwich Village Reserves, Eltham Town Reserves, Highfield & Welling, Latter Day Saints, Old Bromleians A, Old Roan Reserves, Seven Acre Sports, Slade Green Knights, Welling Park Reserves

From what I've seen, looks like we have a constitution of a Premier Division of 9 teams (was 10 but Welling Town Reserves moved to the Kent County League), Division One 10 teams and Divisions Two & Three 11 teams.

I've received an email from someone from the league with the expected constitution for 2017-18. It's a little different to the one I posted:

Old Colfeians
Red Velvet Reserves
TenEmBee
Tudor Sports
West Bromley Albion

Division One (10)
Crayford Arrows
Crofton Albion
Danson Sports
Farnborough Old Boys Guild A (listed as B)
Kingsdale
Lewisham Athletic Reserves
Meridian Sports
Real Mayo
River Plate
Rutland Rangers

Division Two (10)
Baldon Sports
Croydon BR Reserves
Farnborough Old Boys Guild B (listed as A)
Frazier
Groundhoppers
Junior Reds
KSG Falcons
Old Colfeians Reserves
Russellers
South Dulwich

Division Three (11)
AFC London
Dulwich Village Reserves
Eltham Town Reserves
Highfield & Welling
Latter Day Saints

I can only come up with one explanation for this confusion.
Several clubs unhappy with their placement and they only listed the ones who were content.
If thats not the case i have no idea.

I can only think of teams/the league having problems with the WGS, as there's been a few leagues having problems this summer with it.

The Bromley and South London full time page now updated.
However Eltham town Firsts and reserves,Highfield and Welling,Rutland Rangers and Shirley Town seem to have fallen by the wayside.
