Do you think that these awful Councillors who run this fiefdom should be sacked?

I wonder what they would do if someone put in a Freedom of Information request concerning the upgrade to Grenfell tower block

Happy to let their electorate decide that once enough of the facts have been established.

Most of the electorate there will still vote for the Conservatives anyway. The impoverished people who populated Grenfell Tower won't matter to them.

Quite honestly, having watched the footage of the 'meeting' on TV, having seen the reaction of the Council leader when collared in the street by a TV reporter and having taken in the accounts of chaos in the aftermath of the fire in terms of support then these people are an absolute disgrace. Do they not realise that as public servants they are supposed to be serving the public? I mean all of the public in their borough?

I gather the council leader has resigned now... the people who make these decisions and policies just resign and walk away... the people whose lives are affected by their decisions have to live with the consequences. Shameful.

You're beginning to sound like a socialist Molders. You're gradually inching towards buying that Glasto' ticket for next year.

Unless he's a public sector worker or on benefits it surely won't take that long to save up for a tent?

Unless someone comes up with an en suite tent made of brick that has a large flat screen TV you won't see me near one. And as nice as the town of Glastonbury is you won't see me their unless they move football grounds, and certainly not when the festival is on.

I'm quite consistent on this, I won't go near when to rowing is on, Silverstone when there motor car racing. In fact if I see the word festival, carnival, airshow or regatta I'm off the other way.

Today we have the Cowley Road Carnival which we have been informed is now second only Notting Hill. I will not be attending, I hope all those that do enjoy themselves. A number of my friends will post it on Facepage. I've now got to go out and hide the yellow diversion signs that are directing all the traffic down my road.

Criminal trials aren't the priority.

We need to find out what happened and why and have those answers FAST. Maybe in time there should be people answering for failures, errors, negligence or deliberate flouting of regulations, but given the number of people living in high rise buildings the first aim has to be to find out, as quickly as possible, what needs to be done to those buildings in order to ensure that the occupants are not at risk.

Later on we can try to determine if it was a collective failure or whether some individuals have to be taken to court.

Hillsborough was an example of an awful mess and disaster, but if everyone involved had tried from the outset to work out all the various factors that brought it about, then maybe we wouldn't have needed any criminal trials.
