Two of the above previously failed to gain admission for last season, AC Mill Lane who moved from Gt Yarmouth & District League to Lowestoft & District League for last season and Tacolneston Central & South Norfolk League champios. Dussindale Rovers switched from Sunday football to the Norwich & District Saturday League and were champions on goal difference and are joined by third placed Norwich Eagles who were called One Love United up until a few seasons ago. Both play at Sprowston Rec, it's a long time since two Anglian Combination sides have played at the ground. Lastly Redgate Rangers Reserves who played in the North West Norfolk League finishing third, have played at Smithdon School despite the first team using a different ground for the past two seasons.

It is a foregone conclusion that the new clubs will be accepted?

I only ask because the league's Twitter account has already written:
"The league are pleased to welcome our new clubs for 17/18 @TacolnestonFC @AC_Mill_Lane Norwich Eagles @DussyRoversFC and @RedgateRangers Res"

and that seems a little premature if one or more of them may not actually join.

I've been told I should get out more. More?!

No sign of Runton United by any chance, considering their 100% in the North East Norfolk League?

Given that this year was Runton United's fifth consecutive NENL title I suspect they'd prefer to remain a big fish in a small pond.

Unlikely that any wouldn't join considering they applied and include two clubs who had previously missed out.

As for Runton United, I would like to see them join but their location may be a factor.

Ah, I was thinking more of other clubs blocking the newcomers from some reason. From your reply I assume that's unlikely.

Also only top three divisions will have full complement of sixteen. Other divisions are listed as having fifteen a piece. So therefore league is four teams light.

They've tweeted that giving teams a free week was more effective than if a team resigned from a division that has 14 teams in it, the division would be too short.

By the looks of it Dussindale Rovers will be playing on Thorpe Rec, if the early AC fixtures are anything to go by.

Possibly of interest for later in the season, Easton have agreed a deal with Easton & Otley College to play all of their games on the 3G pitch.

Due to many rumours circulating the Anglian Combination stated yesterday that promotion and relegation would be two up two down for all divisions apart from division 4 were 4 would be relegated and then after these issues were resolved making up the shortfall in any division would be looked at. Also confirmation that only Mulbarton Wanderers and Harleston Town had applied for promotion to the Thurlow Nunn League.

Well that doesn't make any sense for a start

If Mulbarton and Harleston go up, that'll have a knock on effect throughout the entire league. In that no one will be relegated from ANY division, and the top two will be promoted from all divisions to make up the shortfall surely?

Hence the phrase "and then after these issues were resolved making up the shortfall in any division would be looked at." Makes sense to me. And, if either or both of those clubs go up, the resultant shortfall would presumably be dealt with by reprieves, as you're suggesting.

Or by additional promotions. Or a mixture of both. Depends on league rules and, to a certain extent, precendents.

I took it to mean all automatic promotion and relegation issues would happen first then any adjustment to division size later. Therefore no teams would avoid automatic relegation but multiple promotions would be possible.
