This looks like being the potential title decider in the Mid Essex League: Tuesday 16th May Mid Essex League Premier Division Beacon Hill Rovers v Braintree & Bocking United After yesterday's results, Braintree are the only side who can catch Beacon Hill, even though they are in 4th place. Braintree have two games before then - one of whom is away to the side in 3rd. If they win those but lose to Beacon Hill, they win the title. Any other result, and it goes down to Braintree's double header with Felsted Rovers on the 20th. Braintree & Bocking have won both games this week, so it looks like Tuesday's game will decide the title. Beacon Hill are Champions with a win. If Braintree & Bocking win, they will only need to win one part of their double header with bottom side Felsted to take the title. If it's a draw, Braintree & Bocking will need to beat Felsted in both games on Saturday to take the title. It could be Braintree & Bocking's three point deduction in January will cost them, if they lose on Tuesday.

A crunch game and a chance to tick the Valley cheaper than normal (as long as you count women's matches on your list). Women's Premier League playoff, Sun 28 May, 2pm, at Charlton Athletic FC. Spurs (Southern winners) v Blackburn (Northern winners). Winner gets a place in WSL second division next season, filling the gap left by the defunct Notts County team. £5 adults, £2.50 concessions, £1 under 10s. No word on programme cost but I've never been to a WPL game that didn't issue them. Charlton usually charge £1 for theirs. Fans will be in the West Stand.
Cambridge City - on a tour of places we've never heard of and can't spell.
