Do the club that used it still exist? (including phoenix replacements)

Bit of a grey area in brackets there, OS, but I'll answer no.

The original club ever played in one (or more) of The Combinatoon/Lancs. League/Lancs. Combination/Cheshire County League?

Was the ground to the west of where the M6 now runs?

Wondered if we'd get that old narrower Wink! And for a change the answer to that is yes. Tongue

Stab at Dingle Park, one of the homes of the original South Liverpool club and a ground that apparently once held 18,000 for a game against Tranmere Rovers. I can't find any online photographs, though.

BACK OF THE NET!

A ground that would surely have hosted league football had it not been for WW1 and a great riverside location too by all accounts...beating Everton on that score by a century! I've never seen any photos either btw.

The original South became New Brighton FC and, a few years later, became FL members in their own right after moving to Wirral. Meanwhile the current South's legacy began in 1935 and might well also have materialised in FL membership but for WW2.

Decent article about the history at https://footballpink.net/...-of-a-football-club/

Played Michael and over to you for #977.
