Hoping the Juniors will conjure up something interesting that'll allow me to catch the 17.40 Glasgow to Euston train.

If the dodgy knee feels up to a walk I might head for:
High Bickington v Merton 3pm in N.Devon League.
Otherwise there are a few other games in the area to pick from.

Possible title decider in Gwynedd - Bontnewydd vs Aberffraw. Looks a half-decent ground as well.....

EDIT : Change of plan due to cheap flights from Brum to Luxembourg:

14.00 Regionalliga Sud-West : Eintracht Trier vs Waldhof Mannheim
21.00 Ligue 1 AS Nancy Lorraine vs St Etienne

UPDATE - From BTFC Twitter: S-F above Scheduled for Rivermoor/Scours Lane - Monday 15th May 19:45 KO
Currently Hellenic FT is showing this as being at Lowther Rd but defaults to 'home' sides ground in these circumstances where the venue is neutral or late being announced - BTFC have confirmed match is at Highmoor/IBIS (ex Reading Town) ground [RG30 6AY]

Drat! That was just about the only game I'd found across a whole swathe of South-Central England.

.... hold firm young RR ..... it may not yet be all over - for a start the TVL-P Senior Cup Final is still due to be played at the MadStad and currently is showing that date (20th May) on FullTime - albeit defaulting to the 'wrong' venue. Crazy

Berkshire Trophy Centre Senior Cup

Cookham Dean v Reading YMCA

...the Reading Sunday League equivalent is also booked to be played there:

Tilehurst Charity Cup

Dee Road Rangers v Woodley Wanderers

- BUT what with our wholly unexpected flirtation with the POs and the Binfield/Woodcote SR Semi-Final nonsense, as yet not officially declared as resolved - I suspect that's why all three 'local' finals have been 'chucked up in the air' this season. They are usually played on succesive evenings midweek through 2nd/3rd week in May.

Some 'local' hoppers I chatted to at Rivermoor last w/e, had heard they were now all being played over one weekend - and possibly ALL on the Saturday mentioned above.

....the shift of the Bracknell v Wok & Emm Senior Invitation SEMI-FINAL was being mentioned on the FiB site yesterday - with Bracknell Town reportedly claiming the tie was going ahead as a Semi-Final tomorrow (Sat 13th) but at an as yet unconfirmed venue agreed. Their twitter has now provided the UPDATE above.

...the declaration from the Competiton organisers doesn't exactly confirm anything one way or another....

Quote

“The game is to be POSTSPONED (sp.) after an incident in the semi final at Binfield v Woodcote
The competition has come to this decision for the following reason:
If both the above clubs are found guilty of causing the abandonment then the winner of the game between Wokingham & Bracknell will be the cup winners by default
Therefore if they are both removed we will play the Semi-Final at Reading FC on Saturday 20th May.
If one of them is found guilty and the other cleared then your Semi-Final will take place on Saturday 13th May.
If both are found not guilty of the abandonment then their semi will be played on Saturday 13th or Wednesday 17th

I'll keep digging........ and update with anything concrete......

Field v Carlton has been moved to Monday 22nd May. My Dad heard that from the Field manager tonight in a Halifax league final at The Shay. It's because Bradford City are playing Millwall at Wembley on Saturday. There has been speculation over the last few days that the Field game would be moved. I appreciate that Fulltime currently shows it for this Saturday but that should be updated shortly.

As a Bradford City season ticket holder, I'm also going to Wembley on Saturday Wink. It's cost just over ?150 for my son and I to go (match and travel) which is pretty much the cost of our season ticket Unsure. Never mind, it's a special occasion and my 9 year old son's first visit to Wembley. I'd rather not be playing Millwall but hopefully, we can out football them on the big pitch.

According to the Mid Essex League full-time website it says Beacon Hill Rovers beat Braintree & Bocking tonight 3-2 & therefore are champions. Therefore I was going to go to the other game in the Premier Division between Silver End Utd v Haver Town but according to the website it says its being played at Ramsden which I visited in Dec 2002. Previous seasons this website has been poor for venue changes. I might do the double header at Felstead v Braintree & Bocking as this is the only other game on in the area I believe except for Tacolneston which I visited in the last few seasons.

I've just got home from watching a game at Fields and the latest news is that they do now have to play on Saturday, as I've been told that Carlton don't want to play on Monday! Apparently, Fields may struggle to raise a side, as some of their players are going to Wembley. They are trying to kick off at 1.00pm, so those who do play can watch the play off final.
