'Saint' Tony to return? Can't Post or Reply Privately

Another populist throwing his hat into the ring or more paper talk?

https://www.thesun.co.uk/...-done-enough-damage/

He wouldn't dare return, would he?

Does being commented on in the Sun count as "paper talk" or should the Trades Descriptions Act not apply?

I would be willing to forgive Blair for the Iraq war if he somehow manages to keep us in the EU (although if anyone does that, it is more likely to be the House of Lords.)

He is rightly frustrated at the opposition's inability to land a punch when the government is making a cockup of managing Brexit and most other things.

He also described Corbyn as a 'nutter' in the interview I read, so I would guess he doesn't think he is the answer.

So I'm not surprised he's testing the water to see if a comeback would meet with enough support - or to see if the dust has settled on his involvement in Iraq etc.

IMO we badly need someone like this, but not him.

No thanks!

The only other person I can think of who's got the ability to do this, and who feels strongly enough about it, is Nick Clegg, but he made himself totally discredited too.

Well as I've been saying for ages, we could do with a credible opposition to the government... Clegg's time would have been coming now, if he'd been bothered to wait, rather than 'go for glory' and fail spectacularly......

Even by your standards that is a pathetic post.

July 1, 2019 to June 30,2020 = 35 / 30/ 5/ inc 2 x 0-0's. (You know my rules) @ 11 / 08 / 2019.
2019/20. Benelux = Bel = 0-0-0-(0-0-0)-(0-2-3-2)/ Lux = 0-3 / Neth = 0-0-0-(2 - 2) Others France = 0-0 / Germany =0-0-0 / Italy =0-3/ Iberia = P = 0-1 & S = 0-1.

I think a populist has to have some support among the populace, I don't sense that's at all the case with Blair. Maybe he's spent too much time abroad to realise how much he's seen as yesterday's man.

One theory is that's he's positioning himself as available to ride to the rescue after a disastrous election for Corbyn's Labour.

It actually made me laugh. Posters on here shouldn't insult fellow Kempsterites but celebrities/politicians are fair game, as long as the comments are based on what they have done and not on anything they were born with (such as race/ethnic origin or disability.)

Why? Do you not understand an objection to vile posts because of somebody's death? Or personal insults hurled at other posters, as you've just done? Again..

What is also not acceptable is your abuse to your fellow poster.

No. He's just fidgety and bored while waiting for God to retire.
