The ECL Division One South is a stand alone league called the Eastern Senior League.Because it is run by the Thurlow Nunn it appears to cause confusion so hope that clarifies things.

The official website calls the two step 6 leagues the Thurlow Nunn division one north and the Thurlow Nunn division one south.
If that is incorrect as you and others have stated then it is the league themselves who are causing the confusion.

No.

Once again this is down to the FA due to grant money available to Leagues that promote youngsters into adult football.

at 24 you haven't been a youngster for many a moon.

Why not just have a U21 division with a rule saying up to 5 overage players?

Trust me mate, when you get to my age, 24 is still young....;)

Presumably Thurlow Nunn are sponsoring both divisions of the new Eastern Senior League just as (for example) Bostick are Sponsoring the Isthmian League. The League is the Eastern Counties League currently known as the Thurlow Nunn League while they sponsor it.
It may be unfortunate that the FA have allowed leagues to assume the name of their sponsors rather than insisting on the ABC League sponsored by XYZ Ltd.
But (as in real life) money talks so a league calls itself whatever the sponsor wants it to be called. Confusing it may be but arguably a small price to pay for the injection of much needed cash.

Even the title of the northern part of the step 6 has different versions.
Are both north and south divisions of the Eastern Senior league. Because i have seen the divisions called Eastern Counties division one North and Eastern Senior league division one south.
Will this new league actually be considered by the FA as a stand alone league. Because whatever it is called when the Eastern Counties run it and it is on their website it is clearly not standing alone.

Just looked at the titles used by the FA.

Eastern Counties League Division one North.

Eastern Counties League. Division one. Eastern Senior League.

i will do my level best to put this conundrum to bed , the Step 6 league in East Anglia is the Eastern Senior League and has a North and South Divisions. It is run by the Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties League but with joint Presidents , John Day who is also President of the Thurlow Nunn and Robert Errington , President of the Essex Senior League. Champions will be promoted to the Essex Senior League and bottom clubs to the Essex Olympian League. How it appears on websites etc I cannot do much about it is what it is though the fixtures are out for the first few weeks and clubs will have seen that they are under the banner of the Eastern Senior League.

i know that you are trying to put it to bed but the fact remains official documents say different things.
The sponsors name makes no difference lots of leagues if not all of them do that.
It is the fact that the Eastern Counties league calls it one thing and the FA on their published regulations call it a different name.

I understand your confusion Unicorn, but I can confirm that the official name of the League is the Eastern Senior League - with North and South divisions.

Did you really think you could confirm the league's name with the F.A. lol

As the ECL is covering the league on their website, yes, I can see where the name confusion comes from.

But they are not just covering it. They are running it.
Its a stand alone league in name only.
Just looked at the statement about Leyton Athletic.
Its says that the Eastern Counties league have agreed to a request from the Essex Senior league to allow them to leave the Eastern senior league to make up the numbers in the ESL.
So its not the Eastern Senior league that was asked it was the Eastern Counties league.
Correct me if i am wrong but Mr Errington being joint president is the only thing that differentiates the Eastern Senior league from the Eastern Counties league.
They are an integral part of the Eastern Counties league except for that technicality.

Yes they are.
There were a few that did not choose to enter but most did.

So where is the website for this division? It's not on the Thurlow Nunn league website and it's not under the Essex Senior League on Full Time?

It is on the Thurlow Nunn website.
But they just refer to it as Division one South and North.
