G: Arnold Warren for his cricket exploits:

During Derbyshire’s match against Warwickshire at Blackwell Colliery Cricket ground in 1910, which was to end in a draw, Arnold shared a nine wicket partnership of 283 runs with the Captain, John Chapman. Arnold scoring 123 runs and Chapman 160. This was a world record for first class cricket and has never been beaten. There is a plaque commemorating this event in Blackwell community centre.

A swing, miss and out with the middle stump. It isn't Arnold Warren

G. Charlie Williams, first keeper to score in open play?

If not did he play for Liverpool?

A wild punt up field from the 18 yard area and.... ...... GOAL!! It is indeed Charlie Williams, the first goalkeeper known to have scored in a first class game. He scored for Man City in their 3-1 defeat at Roker Park on 14 April 1900. Charlie had previously played for Arsenal and was the goalkeeper in their first ever league game. He later went to Man City winning his only medal, Second Division Champions.
