Arsenal Ladies 5-1 Sunderland Ladies. Att 804. The BBC T/text compilers know nothing about football as Sunderland's Steph Bannon scored 2 O/G's and were credited to her own team. (Square pegs in round holes, AGAIN!!

Poor attendance, but then the whole thing is poorly promoted. I'm a local and a supporter and I didn't know this game was going on. I've been at home all day pottering about and I would have happily gone to watch. If the fixture list was remotely 'regular' I might have realised, but I've given up trying to keep up with when they're playing. Month-long gaps and poor communication equal low gates.

Surely you can get BBC Teletext or look on the WSL website for all the info, like I do, for goodness sake!

Yes, if I have nothing else to do but keep on tracking Arsenal Ladies fixtures. I put them all in my calendar at the start of the season but they're so eratic they just ended up taking me by surprise so I took them out. I've tried to get friends to come with me to games but it's so random and all over the place I've given up.

It's a shambles.

Game was originally to be played tomorrow Sunday, but was moved forward a day....must have regretted their decision when they found out Wales v Northern Ireland was on...guess many stayed away to watch that.
But its really easy to find out fixtures on ladies website, one page has all fixtures.

I know you can find out the fixtures if you look frequently, my points is that because they're so weirdly space I forget about them. Perhaps I'm not a 'proper' fan but I'm more interested than most people so if I can keep up with the fixtures they must be losing whole lot more who aren't that inclined to check.

I really hope that next season they have the games roughly every two weeks (home games) because it would sit so much more easily in the mind. I would love to get some of my friends to games. I really think they'd enjoy them a lot more than they expected.

I agree that the summer break this season was a bit pointless and broke any momentum in the season. However next season there will be a break in July as that is when the European Championships are being held in the Netherlands.

There is also a break for the Olympics (5 Aug until 21 Aug) except for 2 games involving Manchester City, at Reading on 3 Aug and at Doncaster on 11 Aug. There are also a couple of WSL2 games on 14 Aug. Last round of WSL1 games 31 July resuming the weekend of 27/28 Aug.
