On that basis is it safe to assume North Greenford have been places in the SSML prem?

You'd think so.
The FA embargo on going public was 5pm this evening so it's just a matter of when each league announces their proposed constitutions.

The Hellenic is desperate for teams so no shock

Looks like they're set to make a few gains this years

As I understand it, the Reserves side are stepping down due to the Alliance between Dorking Wanderers and Dorking F.C. to allow ground sharing facilities at the Westhumble ground, Dorking.

I have no idea if Wanderers will re-introduce a Reserve side when the new ground at Meadowbank is completed for the following season.

Dorking Wanderers Reserves could always ground share at Horley for one year before going to a permanent home at West Humble.

Quite so, Eastbourne.

As I know Marc White of Wanderers well, I fully expect he is already looking at the long term future of football in Dorking but would not presume to forecast the way forward after the completion of the Meadowbank stadium..

There are a couple of leagues that Wanderers Reserves could play in even if it meant moving into Pixham Lane with Dorkinians for a season. The Suburban League insists on lights but the Surrey Elite Reserve Division or other lower Saturday leagues don't have many ground regulations but then you have to wonder what would Wanderers gain from having a Reserve team at a lower level unless it's purely to keep the team going until Meadowbank's sorted.

You obviously know the Dorking area well, VP.

I would guess that their average mileage in the Hellenic will be more than it was in S1C? It's possible they'd have a shorter average mileage in the Essex Senior League than in the Hellenic!

Congratulations to the club but could I ask what's the point?

There is something broken with the system when a club "representing" a village will play home games at level 10 neither in nor close to that village.

One example among many I suppose.

How the heck are Bagshot allowed to be promoted - via a groundshare - in a location that is not remotely close to their home location?

I need clarification on the promotion-via-a-groundshare ruling which I thought prevented a side from hopping into another club's facilities to make a promotion step? And why are they allowed to groundshare so far from Bagshot anyway. I admire any club wishing to progress through the pyramid but not by hermit crab fashion.

It's only 15 minutes up the road. Blimey....

If Walton Casuals can share at Merstham then Bagshot can share at Hanworth.

As for the rules - mentioned in this thread or others.
There's also the issue that Bagshot are currently outside the National League System so aren't bound by NLS rules until the CCL AGM.

Won't the FA allocate clubs into Step 6 and take a dim view on a club groundsharing to enable promotion whilst also moving out of their own local distict/authority? Unless there are necessary works/a ground rebuild taking place which I believe is happening at Walton Casuals? If this is the case then I go back to my initial point - Bagshot's own ground obviously isn't of the correct grading to allow promotion.

Well the FA interviewed Brett from Bagshot FC in early April and allocated the club into step 6 so, no.
Look at what's happening around the country this season by the FA trying to fill step 6. There's all sorts going on what with the usual top five spot ignored and some step 7 league promoting two etc.
Bagshot have applied to a few leagues in recent years in a bid to get into the Surrey part of the pyramid but they've had nothing but problems based on personal issues from years ago. It's good they've now gone direct to the FA and got in.
They're not blocking any other club so no issues as far as I'm concerned.

It's a National League System rule, not a rule throughout all football.
Bagshot aren't in the National League System yet.

But would by-pass National League System rules to gain an advantage and promotion into the National League System.

They were quite willing to play their way into the National League System via the Surrey County Intermediate League (Western) but they were blocked from joining it by people in that league so they've bypassed it by applying to the CCL via the FA.
I've no doubt that they've just been lucky with the timing due to what's happening this season but there you go.

And what is the status with the Bagshot ground itself? The requirements for a Step 6 ground aren't that strict....
