The 57 year old American music star known as Prince! Has died this morning in his residence in Minnesota. I personally bought his first half a dozen albums & he was brilliant in the 1980's. RIP

Loved the early stuff : raspberry 1999 etc...not so keen on the later

The only thing he reminds me of is a cousin of mine who came over from South Africa to stay with us in the summer of 1990. She was a big fan of the singer, but she was so rude to us that my mother threw her out of the house after a few weeks.

Extremely talented musical genius. Very creative, a brilliant showman and another big loss to the entertainment world.


Not my cup of tea per se but I love some of his stuff.


Died way too young at just 57 and makes you realise that life is for living not sitting back and waiting for stuff to happen.

Lucky enough to see him a couple of times in concert and despite not being my usual musical taste he was an utterly superb showman.
