Unusual abandonment? Can't Post or Reply Privately

Last Saturday's fixture in the second tier (Championship) of the Pennine League between Stainland Stags and West Leeds Eagles is listed in the specialist Rugby League press as having been abandoned due to a 'neutral spectator issue'.

Quite why any neutral spectator would want to turn up at a venue as exposed to the elements as Stainland in the weather we experienced over the weekend I cannot imagine, and I assume it was no-one off here staging a sit down protest on the pitch because there was no programme!

However, I cannot find anything on line to explain the abandonment, and wondered if anyone else could shed any further light?

In rugby union last Saturday's London 3 South West derby between Trojans and Eastleigh was abandoned by the referee after just 15 minutes when he was 'accidently' punched in the back of the head whilst trying to break up a melee between the two sets of players.

Had a lucky escape as this match was one of my options before Cherries v Man U in the evening. Glad I chose Wimborne in the end.
