Ebenezer Morley's house collapses Can't Post or Reply Privately

A house at 26 The Terrace, Barnes, in south west London, collapsed around midday on Thursday when a basement/wine-room/home-cinema/gym renovation caved in during building work, with the roof, second and first floors all falling in...

There has been plenty of coverage that the present owner is David Kassler, who successfully ran Phones4U into the ground with over 2,500 redundancies in September 2014, and that it was once home to famous pop singer Duffy.

Unfortunately, there has been less coverage of the fact that the house has a blue plaque in honour of Ebenezer Morley, the founder of the Football Association, who wrote the original laws of the game in this house in 1863. The laws were later formalised when he hosted a meeting at The Freemason's Tavern, Holborn, on 26th October 1863. Morley also presented the trophy at the very first FA Cup Final, when Wanderers beat Royal Engineers 1-0 at The Oval in 1872.

Was the plaque removed prior to the collapse for safe keeping, as there's no evidence of it in either before/after pic.

Did it survive?
