Sky Sports Channels Can't Post or Reply Privately

Not sure if I am allowed to post this so if I cant then please remove the thread.
Last week we made the decision to ring up Virgin Media and cancel Sky Sports Channels as since my stepson left home, it is costing us nearly 60 a month in Bedroom tax, so we have had to cut back a bit. Im like everyone and enjoy my sport and still get Eurosport and BT Sports, but do miss the cricket and other sports that are shown on Sky Sports. Are there any safe websites on the internet so I can watch sky sports free of charge at all?

Ironically the new media darlings Salford City have been using a chipped Sky Box for the past two seasons.

Gary Neville was embarrassed .....

Have always found this site to be reliable for live streaming of all sports......www.psp4u.com
SportsStream.net is another but not available on mobile devices.

Both channels take advertising from News International so it makes a mockery of legality.Wink

I was informed that SkyGo is for sharing - with two others apparently
but they have changed so don't quote me....

Was given a link this evening to the Puffin platform.
Avaiable on IPads and Android systems as an app.
Once it's downloaded enter Cricfree and hey presto all sky sports,
BT and others available......and guess what? The site carries ads
for Bookmakers and TV Service providers....

Legality? Dubious at best. But it's free to users.

Re: [Ronsdog] Sky Sports Channels [In reply to] Can't Post or Reply Privately

For about a year I gave up Sky Sports and was able to find pretty much every game I wanted on the internet somewhere but I got a bit fed up searching for links and them staying up all game etc. So I gave up went back to Sky and took out BT Sports as well for first time. So currently paying silly money but can watch everything whenever I want so while I can afford it (maybe only for one year!) I will stick it out.

I get the ground hopping thing but I can't understand paying
soppy money to watch teams that I've absolutely no interest in..

Unfortunately in my case I'm cursed with being a Chelsea fan first and foremost. Frown Although right now, I'm just reminded of what it was like for the first 20 odd years of being a fan when pretty much every other weekend was ruined. Tongue

Cursed with being a Chelsea fan?

Yeah that is tough, the rest of us have won so many trophies our only problem is finding somewhere to put them Cool

Two years ago, at the end of the 2014-15 season, my mate Ian on the Isle Of Wight was told by his wife that they'd be ending their SKY subscription.

Being a Leicester City fan, he agreed to this without too much of a fight. Afterall, he'd got to watch that season's coverage of their heroic avoidance of relegation. The next season was bound to be boring by comparison... Crazy

Re: [oxpete] Sky Sports Channels [In reply to] Can't Post or Reply Privately

The resurrection of this thread reminds me of a curious occurence when I was staying in a guest house in Londonderry a couple of weeks ago, on my trip to see Derry City play at Buncrana. The TV in the guest house did not seem to have very many functioning channels and those that did seemed to be run by Sky. All were rubbish (I could not find any with sport) but strangely there was also a 24 hour news channel from, would you believe it, Nigeria. It concentrated on domestic news from that country and was so interesting that I watched it for three hours before going to bed. It didn't show any football action but it did have a list of the results from the Nigerian top division that had been played that weekend. Other than that, it had interesting reports showing people protesting about local issues such as poor roads, schools and (in the north of the country) health.

I have no idea whether anyone with a Sky subscription in the UK gets it automatically. There is however, plenty of info about it on Google if you use the search term 'Channels TV'. I hope Rupert Murdoch doesn't have any control over it, as I was impressed with the editorial independence it appeared to have.

As the owner, can't you put a stop to such things? Unsure

Just because you're paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not out to get you.

To allow you to choose what sports you pay for, rather than the channels. Apparently (I don't have pay TV, except Now TV).
