The 2015-16 Non-League Prediction League Can't Post or Reply Privately

ROLL-UP! COME JOIN-IN. THIS SITE'S VERY OWN PREDICTION LEAGUE GAME

NLM's annual prediction-fest is starting up again very soon and I encourage all of you, both old and new to come and join in the fun. Entry is FREE.

You can find the main page at http://http:/.../index.php?cmd=table and just follow the simple instructions to register your name/team.

It's dead easy to play: Here's the low-down on scoring Points ~

You earn 1Pt. for correct prediction of H/D/A result.
You earn 1Pt. for correct prediction of goal-difference between the two teams (obviously 'right-way-around in H/A's!).
You earn 1Pt. for each correct prediction of H-score &/or A-score (Max: 2 Pts.)
You earn 1Pt. for spot-on prediction bonus.

This gives a maximum yield of 5Pts. - for the 'Perfect Prediction'.

Otherwise ~

Correct H/D/A + one correct goals-scored earns 2Pts. -as does -
Correct H/D/A + correct goal-difference, but no correct goals-scored
Correct H/D/A alone gets 1Pt. -as will -
Correct H-score or A-score, without H/D/A or GD being correct.

We'll choose approx 1200 matches over the season, drawn from Steps One thru' Six in the main part, inc. lots of Cup/Trophy/Vase matches.

However, if that sounds daunting, by all means set up your own private sub-leagues where you and pals can pick and choose subsets of the main list to stick to - with as many or as few fixtures as desired.

Names/Teams are placed in a league table, the order determined by most points first and secondarily by 'goal difference'.

"How," I hear you say, "does goal difference get calculated?".

Basically the GF/GA values you achieve are derived from a formula - designed to hopefully allow each to have some degree of parity, not too far removed from the other.
To win G.F. you need to correctly guess at least one team's score in a match~ and you win that value squared. G.A. are scored against you as the simple difference between your predicted scores and the actual scores.

For those SERIOUS COMPETITORS, there's an alternative 'simple' league table available (under the 'statistics' button) - which ranks all players by their average points-per-game record - and THAT is the real skill monitor.
It is from the STATISTICS table, that we determine our competition winners.

Get on Forums, NL Groups, etc. with our sign-up details (always ask Admins/Mods permission first), and get your family, friends and work colleagues interested - you can always challenge them in your own private mini-league!

Hoping for plenty of you to sign up.

I have today deleted the 2014-15 League, so returning and new players must go to their Profile Page and tick the box to register for the 2015-16 League.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE SUPPORT YOUR RECORD-HOLDING GAME [UNOFFICIALLY: BIGGEST-EVER LONG-RUNNING PREDICTING GAME ON THE NET!]

We NEED plenty of competitors to particularly start their own Mini-Leagues within the 'Big Game', each M-L originator to choose just a (themed) subset of the total number of fixtures that we provide. Ask friends, colleagues, family, folks you know on other forums, etc.

You either originate your own M-L and recruit players for just your own M-L, -OR- you become a recruit for someone else's M-L -OR- you register to play as many as you wish of the fixtures you want from the 'Big Game'; BUT, you can only do one of the three choices!

Think carefully how you want to approach your game.

NB I've deduced that there IS one way and only one way to be able to have membership of more than just a single M-L with a single playing ID ~ IF two separate M-Ls have exactly matching fixture subsets.

Otherwise, you'll need a different ID for each M-L you join.
