This is desperately sad news and difficult to post.

Brian & his wife Judith were killed in a crash on the M1 yesterday. A lovely couple, solid gold. Always good to be with.

A real, actual hero, but the biggest tribute I can pay is that it cheered me up whenever I saw him arrive.

Jon, I can only echo your thoughts and words. Used to love listening to the non league round up and Brians enthusiasm for the game shone through. South Yorkshire has lost a legend of the game
