A few new teams are set to join the League next season:
  • Sumners - Moving over from the Hertford & District League Premier Division. Have heard they may be relocating to Loughton? They were in the EAL previously, and not too long ago either, when it was still the Ilford & District League. They will go straight in to the EAL Premier
  • Flyers - Moved over from the Romford & District League, which (I think) they pulled out of midway through last season? Based currently just north of the A12 on the Romford section, so a bit of a 'coup' for the EAL. Flyers are set to go in to Division 2.
  • AFC Custom House - not to be confused with the existing 'Custom House' in this league! Incredibly they look set to both play in Division 2!
  • Emmanuel - Based in Walthamstow it seems at Wadham Lodge. Assume they use the 'outdoor' pitch? They have been placed in Division 1.
  • Inter Plaistow - No info on them. They go in to Division 2.
  • Chingford Athletic have also added a Reserve team to Division 2.

Elsewhere...
  • Blue Marlin are the only club promoted from Division 1 to the Premier Division.
  • The top 3 in Division 2 - Grove United, West Essex Reserves and Leyton Green - have all been promoted to Division 1.
  • Despite finishing bottom in the Premier Division, Rainham Working Men's Club have avoided relegation. However the side above them - Chingford Harriers - have not.
  • The bottom two in Division 1 have both been relegated: Chingford Town Reserves, and Lord Nelson. However the latter are the subject of an SGM, along with Premier Division Cranes United, so that might change?
  • AAH Romford have pulled out of the League. They were in the Premier Division.
  • Northend have pulled out of Division 1, having finished in 2nd. They have taken the place of their Reserves in Division 2.
  • Dagenham United have left Division 2, but are now up in the Essex Olympian League.
  • Canio have withdrawn from Division 2.
