Brian Reynolds (Kettering Town & Peterborough United) Can't Post or

Brian Reynolds, better known as a professional cricketer, and subsequently coach, with Northamptonshire, died on February 7th, 2015. Born and raised in Kettering, he always lived in Kettering and that was where he passed away. He played a season with Peterborough United, but otherwise his football career was with Kettering Town, where, amongst the managers he played under, was Tommy Lawton.

I've got a smashing book on Brian, written by three local authors, Ian Addis, Mick Dean and Brian Slough and entitled 'The Times and Life of the Northamptonshire Sportsman'.
Brian was born in Kettering in 1932 and never lived anywhere else. He played cricket for Northants for over 20 years and then coached them for 25 years.
As mentioned he had a good football career with Kettering Town playing in their Southern League Championship winning team of 1958 managed by Tommy Lawton.
He then went on to referee in local Northants football during the winter months.
