Yet again, two divisions of 12 and one of 13 would have been far more sensible - what is the obsession with tiny division sizes? I mean, 8 in the Premier? Really?

I'm not party to the internal goings on in this league but Yateley United 'A' finished second in Division One so couldn't be promoted due to their reserve team already being in the Senior Division.
Headley United Reserves were third but left the league, Fleet Spurs 'A' were fourth but the club's reserve team is also already in the Senior Division, Lindford were fifth and left the league leaving Hindhead, in sixth place, the next eligible club. It's possible they were asked but didn't want to go up.
Fleet Spurs Reserves finished bottom of the Senior with 0 points last season but weren't relegated yet Sandhurst Sports who finished above them were. This suggests Sandhurst's drop was voluntary.
Added onto that a couple of other teams have left the Premier Division and that's probably why there are only eight teams this season.

You have to remember that what clubs want at this level is far more important than having divisions with a number of teams that are acceptable to people outside of the league.

A small amendment.
AFC Petersfield now have two adult teams. Looking at their website, the side in Division 2 of this league will be their Reserves this season. The first team are playing in the Hampshire Premier League Division One.
