Market Drayton Tigers come from Merican Regional League Division Two
Walsall Phoenix come from the Birmingham & District AFA, not Birmingham & District League. Last year they played at Stick n Wicket, The Green, off Little Aston Road, Aldridge WS9 8NH

My best guess for where Real Medina will play is the ground where Stretton Eagles used to play at. Ground is vacant and can't think of anywhere else suitable in the town other than to share at Stapenhill but I can't see that happening. Postcode - DE14 2BB

Games 719.5 (8) - Grounds - 200 (1) - Teams 377 (2)

You don't need much to be in the bottom div of Staffs County League. Changing rooms, goalposts.

Last ground visited(update requested by Spud): Tuffley Rovers . New grounds 18/19: 29

I have seen Real Medina play at their regular ground of Eton Park Recreation ground in Burton, and also at one of the hundreds of pitches at Shobnall Leisure centre, Both would be entirely suitable for the bottom division of the Staffs County league.

It's even possible to get away without changing rooms at times. Early in the 2011-12 season, after Alsager's clubhouse and changing rooms had been destroyed by fire, I'm told that the reserve team played one or two home games in SCSL Div 1, using the changing facilities at the local cricket club, 500 yards away.

I'd still be surprised if they don't play at Stretton's old ground. The only reasons they'd move to SCSL is either they have been kicked out of the Burton league for their disciplinary problems or the club wants to progress up the leagues. Changing in cages next to your opponents (@ Shobnall LC) doesn't strike me as a progressive club.

The first week of fixtures were announced on the league website late last night, and in doing so a new club, Eastwood Hanley, previously not mentioned, was included in the Div 2 N fixtures. Also, Longton AG has been removed from the list of teams in Div 2 N.

One possibility is that this represents a change of name of a club.

Does anyone know for certain?

New/reformed club -

http://www.eastwoodhanleyfc.co.uk/

A junior team called Sandford Hill All Stars changed their name this summer and started a senior team at the same time. Don't think there's any connection with Longton AG.

The newly released handbook has Real Medina playing at their usual ground of Eton Park in Burton. Not the best venue in town, but more than suitable for the lower reaches of the Staffs County league.

I think MMU Cheshire play at ST7 2HL and not CW11 3LZ which is/was Sandbach United

The league handbook says MMU Cheshire are now sharing the Cumberland Arena, home of Crewe FC.

It also lists Whittington as playing back at their former venue of Whittington Barracks.

According to the handbook, Walsall Phoenix, in Div 2 South, is their under 21 side. Don't know if this is an error in the handbook, or if their first team plays in another league.

Walsall Phoenix's first team play in the Birmingham AFA Premier Division - at least they did last season.

Thanks for the many comments! I've now adjusted the list to conform with the League Handbook.
