On my phone, so will post full constitution later.

Diss Town and (once again...) Wivenhoe Town reprieved from relegation. Woodbridge Town drop into Division 1. Means Premier Division remains at 20 (Brightlingsea Regent promoted to R1N, whilst CRC have pulled out).

Whitton United, Ipswich Wanderers and Fakenham Town promoted from Division 1.

NEW TEAMS in Division 1! Don't get too excited though...Kings Lynn 'Reserves' and Leiston 'Reserves' to keep Division 1 at 19 clubs.
Unsure

Last match:
Monday 17th October 2016
Aveley 1-1 Phoenix Sports (Isthmian League Division 1 North)

Next scheduled match:
Tuesday 18th October 2016
Burnham Ramblers v Haringey & Waltham (Essex Senior League)

Really sad to see the Eastern Counties League Division One in this state - 5 reserve teams next season which is actually over the 25% allowed in Step 7 leagues.
15 in Wessex Div One, 14 in Hellenic One East, 15 in Hellenic One West (both with multiple reserve sides), 15 in Combined Counties One, 15 in Sussex County Div Two. The FA need to do something - they need to relax ground criteria as this is only going to get worse!

Step 6 football is being killed off in parts of the country, all in the name of a ridiculous rulebook, with ridiculous criteria

There were 4 reserve teams last year and 2 more this year thats 6, and not sure about Team Bury and Haverhill Borough

Thought that step 6 leagues were told that up to 2 reserve teams would be ok, especially When you are only allowed 25% at step 7

or is it a ploy to turn Eastern Counties One into another reserve division by stealth Wink

Team Bury are the official feeder team to Bury Town with lots of their players playing for Bury first team last year. They are primarily run with players from West Suffolk College. Haverhill Borough are totally independent from any other side apart from their reserves who play in the Cambs league. Borough ground share with Haverhill Rovers at a community stadium that neither of them own.
There are now 6 official reserve sides plus team bury in the division, which is a long way from ideal.
The FA could do a bit more to protect the Eastern Counties by not allowing Wisbech to move to the well populated UCL last year for example. Other than that we have been told that the FA are considering a long overdue exemption period for any side with facilities but not a promotion position next season. This could allow the likes of Wisbech St Mary, Framlingham, Chatteris, Coggeshall, Holland and any of the numerous Anglian Combination clubs with facilities to step up and make the league healthier again.

That's going about things completely the wrong way.

Much better to offer exemption to those who *Do* finish in a promotion position but don't have all the facilities needed for a Step 6 ground grade. Promotion should be earned on the field of play.

Yes and no.

Why should clubs that pay very good "expenses" to players at step 7 be rewarded for not investing in their facilities? These "expenses" allow certain clubs to dominate county leagues with the clubs having no intention of ever wanting to step up.

Also how do you run 20 team divisions without floodlights? Allow sides to play all midweek games away and KO earlier in the winter? Hardly fair is it!

Maybe if clubs had a 2-3 year exemption on the basis that they will get lights etc complete rather than the current year would help. Either that or just don't have 24 sides at step 3-4.

Agree on a lot of those points especially the last one on step 3 (and 4) leagues having 24 teams (the delude person who suggested it thinks hes doing step 5 a favour)

anyone can get promotion if they chuck enough money at it, and subsequently go bust and fold the team etc..

as one team I graded once said 'we would rather leave a ground and facilities to future generations than a cardboard box full of trophies and nowhere to play'.

We shouldn't need 20 team divisions at Step 6, and then we wouldn't have to force teams to invest in floodlights etc. to reach that level.
