Now on Full Time:

http://full-time.thefa.com/...lectedLeague=8864128

Down to one division, plus a 5 team U21 division and floodlit U18 division.

One new first team: Trowbridge Wanderers, who last season finished bottom of the Trowbridge and District League First Division with a splendid 6 points. I'm sure they'll do very well.

Wise move by the Wiltshire League to reduce to one division - I had nightmares they were going to try to continue on with two - I wouldn't put anything past them! Bumps the 3 district leagues below up to Step 8.

I guess the question now is - can the league retain its Step 7 status. Rules states you can only have a maximum of 25% reserve sides in a Step 7 division. So that equates to 4 sides in an 18-team division like the Wiltshire League. But the Wiltshire League has 4 reserve sides and one development side, along with 3 others (Vale of Pewsey, Wilts Calne Town and FC Chippenham Youth) that I am guessing the FA will ignore because they've so cleverley changed their names!

So will one of the reserve/development sides have to be set up as a separate club and change their name in order to retain step 7 status?

Oh how times change, early 80's Trowbridge Town derby match in the Alliance Prem at Frome Road pulls in just under 2,000 v Bath City. So next season v Trow Wanderers at Lambrock council pitch there maybe a few less!

KRTM Cool
