BT WIFI Can't Post or

Does anyone use the BT WIFI / Fon. The wireless internet that is available in most town and cities in the uk.
I have to use it as I do not have a phone line and a dongle uses up my data in a matter of days.
However I find it to be reliable one minute then unreliable the next. At 39 a month, it is also a rip off. Why do people get charged high amounts just because they do not have a landline.

Common BTWIFI problems:
DNS Look up failed
Could not connect to DNS Server
Unable to load the web page, gateway unreachable.

Bare in mind my computer and tablet are connected to the wifi network, it is online while thses problems persist.

Also a strange problem I get is the hot spots all break down at 2.30am every morning without fail.
There are 3 in my area and when 1 does not work, the others will not work either.

Why is the WIFI network so bad compared to a normal home wifi?

Any thaughts on BT WIFI.

I get it free with my home broadband but as I'm on a t mobile phone I just use that generally when out and about.
I'll try the WIFI and see how I get on.
