I'm English - I had no idea what the thread was about, (and to be honest I still don't).
I thought several posters thought Rangers belonged in non-League

Understandable. So, I will attempt to interpret for the enigmatic Mr sjosta:
"Currant buns" rhyming with "the Huns" is an alternative nickname for Rangers.
"Dormie" is a golfing matchplay term referring to when a player is x holes in the lead with x holes still to be played so that, at worst, they will tie the match.

If Rangers and their nearest rivals Dunfermline both win their next SPFL Div1 fixtures, Rangers will be 24 points ahead with 8 games to play (i.e. 24 points available) so they will be "dormie".

The significance of Mr sjosta's "12" is lost on me, I suspect he may have got that wrong - dormie 24 (or even dormie 8) would appear to make more sense!

Maybe so ... but that's where they aren't!

You're right. Dormie 8 I meant. 24 points ahead, 8 games to play. Still got to get used to this new fangled 3 points for a win(I think that was supposed to increase competition; much like the Premier League)
