Didn't South Sefton Borough apply a couple of years ago, intending to use Litherland's ground? It didn't have any covered accommodation then - does it have any now? And have Barnton got lights?

You have to bear in mind clubs coming up from step 7 don't have to get lights up and running until the 30th September as long as they tick all the other grading boxes by March 31st.

In the Uttoxeter programme yesterday it had a plan of ground improvements and underneath it read,
"Above is a plan of the improvements that are required to enable Uttoxeter Town to compete at the next level of the non league pyramid. These are to be presented to the planning committee at ESBC on 20th Jan 2014. If these plans are passed we have until 31st March 2014 to complete these improvements". The drawing showed 2 small stands and floodlights, as I put in my WDYG report, as far as they're aware there is only one resident that objects.

Uttoxeter just applied to step 6, and named the Midland Combination, East Midlands Counties and NW counties as their three options. I'm told they never stated a preference, it would be down to the FA where they went.

IMO the NWCL should not even an option for Rocester (or Uttoxeter) - far too much travelling for Step5/6.

With Kidsgrove's reprieve, they won't be coming down to NWC, so a reprieve for Bacup & Rossendale Borough, leaving another space in NWC1 if there was a side looking to start at step 6

I agree that reprieve for Bacup and admission of both Cammell Laird and Stockport Town seem likely consequences, should Kidsgrove get this late reprieve.
However, nothing is certain. And even if announcements are made, anything can change right up to the date of the NWCFL agm - 14th June.

Latest update from the NWCL:
The FA has provided an update regarding the allocation of clubs to the NWCFL for season 2014-15.

Worksop Town have tendered their resignation from the Northern Premier League, Step 3 of the National League System. This has resulted in a number of changes having to be made to the club allocations to leagues, which were initially issued following the recent meeting of the FA Leagues Committee held on 15th May.

The impact of this for the NWCFL is that Kidsgrove Athletic have now been reprieved from relegation to the NWCFL Premier Division (Step 5) and will continue to play in the Northern Premier League Division 1 South (Step 4).

The League Management Committee is still awaiting clarification from the FA with regard to the applications from Stockport Town and Cammell Laird 1907, and any updates regarding this will be published on the League website when received.

Statement from Northwest Counties

The League Management Committee can now confirm that Bacup & Rossendale Borough are reprieved from relegation to Division One.

The move comes as a result of the FA's earlier announcement that Kidsgrove Athletic will not be relegated to the NWCFL.

The decision in relation to Bacup & Rossendale Borough is made in accordance with League Rule 13.4 which states as follows:

"In the event...there exists any further vacancy in the Premier Division for whatever reason (including reconstruction of the League) any such vacancy shall be filled as follows - by the next bottom club in the Premier Division".

The FA has also informed the League Management Committee that meetings will be held with Stockport Town and Cammell Laird 1907 on a date to be confirmed in mid-June with regard to their respective applications to join the NWCFL.

Let's hope the confirmation is not too late in mid-June, as the league's agm is scheduled for 14th June, and that's when it all needs to be done and dusted.

I'd only heard this as a rumour - one of many you get during a season. I've now seen it confirmed on the club's website.

The Park was project managed by Company Director Barney Williams, Mr Williams, a keen footballer and admirer of CSOB is delighted that both parties are happy with the outcome after lengthy negotiations over several months.

CSOB now hold a lease on the pitch for Saturday football which will enable the first team and reserves to play league football hopefully in the Staffs County Senior Leagues after resigning from the North West Counties League in March, the lease also gives the CSOB ladies Sunday afternoon football at the park".

Nothing on the league website, yet.

The club have announced it, so have B&RB declined their reprieve or has someone gone pop or maybe moved to another league(i.e. the MFA)
"In the event...there exists any further vacancy in the Premier Division for whatever reason (including reconstruction of the League) any such vacancy shall be filled as follows - by the next bottom club in the Premier Division".
According to the last statement from the NWCL, then Wigan Robin Park should've been offered a reprieve, before 1874 Northwich.

I'm quite sure that Bacup haven't declined the reprieve; they're excited about staying up. My guess is one of the 22 has gone - but which one?
