The FAW councillor who attended a recent match at Richmond Park fell asleep in a chair by an upstairs window in the clubhouse at half time and only awoke during the last 10 minutes of the game! He, at least, enjoyed the sandwiches during the break and moreso the sausages and mash afterwards.

... well, he was watching Carmarthen, so ...

But good of you to give him his dinner. He would have probably missed evening meal at the nursing home by the time he got back.

OK, but hands up those who have not wished that they could fall asleep during a meeting? Or even actually done so, even if for just a few seconds?

Someone's droning on about something which is of no particular interest to you, they're probably on their twerntieth Powerpoint slide and you know there's plenty more to come, you're doodled out, the sun's beating through the window and there's no aircon in the room, it's post-lunch, and even if you haven't had a drink or two at lunch, your stomach is still heavily involved in the process of digesting those seemingly indigestible sandwiches. Anyone else ever get heavy eyelid syndrome?

A beautiful twist to all of this is the fact that the Old Bill have their eyes on a most prominent FAW Council member. I believe that it is known as a "Cold Case Review" and concerns a fifteen year old girl.

The story includes alleged rape; police corruption; two burglaries in which only incriminating evidence was stolen etc etc. All totally untrue, naturally.
