Congratulations! Can't Post or Reply Privately

Seen as we have had numerous threads for teams winning things this season (Dulwich, Wrexham, Darlington to name some) I'd like throw my hat into the proverbial ring and pronounce what a fantastic job Stuart McCall has done at Motherwell this season to secure yet another season of European Football. A very impressive achievement considering the best players are usually snapped up by other clubs in the post season and the club have to resort to bringing in young, hungry players into the side on regular occasions to fill in the missing positions.
Even more impressive (especially for me having seen him play) was Higdon breaking the post war scoring record for goals in a season! Saw him at Hearts last season and I thought I could have done better than him, took him a while to bring the fans round but scoring plenty of goals (and some crackers at that!) will do that!

The man is a legend! Shame he couldn't manage any success in his first managerial role Unsure, but he has said that he's got "unfinished business" at Valley Parade, so maybe he'll be back one day. Not just yet, mind - Parky's doing a fine job.

I think all the fans and board at 'Well are all too aware of his love for BCFC, and realise if the opportunity came and they were on a sound financial footing, we'd be foolish to force him to stay on. We're just enjoying what he's doing for the club for as long as we can, he is very highly thought of North of the border. Also, he's a Yorkshireman, so it just adds to his legendary status! Wink
