Chavez / Death List Can't Post or Reply Privately

Interesting website;

www.deathlist.net

Chavez wasn't too hard to predict perhaps, but a bit ironic that Bruce Reynolds, who died last week, wasn't even on the list at all when his old partner-in-crime Ronnie Biggs is in the number one spot.

And, yes I know, pretty tasteless and insensitive website..but what the hell, that's the internet for you and anyway it's not as bad as Facebook, which was probably invented by the devil himself.

They've got Peter Sallis in there. I hope he doesn't go before he does another Wallace & Gromit film. Unsure

I hope to hell Liz doesn't pop her clogs before Chaz. Nor that she gets any ideas from young Benedict. No institutional child abuse in your family, Liz, so no need to resign. Well, none apart from that in a standard English Public School upbringing. Say it ain't so, Liz.

Something tells me it isn't because (a) she's a girlie and (b) she never went to school. She had a governess, and any hanky-panky (not saying there was, obviously, just covering the bases) that might have gone on between a governess and a teenage girl (to re-iterate, clearly there wasn't) is the subject of many a perfectly acceptable porn film. Whereas man v horse is completely beyond the pale.

That's why I can cope with an Elizabeth II, a William V (Kate's a bit of a sort), but not sure I can with a Charles III.

Interesting that Chavez died on the same day (5th March, also my birthday which is why I know!) as Josef Stalin

And for God's sake, God speed Wills, Kate and their as yet unborn child. Should they die in some unfortunate accident, that'd put Harry next in line to the throne.

I've no objection to him as a person, just to his name. In this respect, would he be a Harry, a Harold, or a Henry? to be honest, none of those names appeal:

Harry (or 'Arry) I - brings to mind Harry Redknap.
Harold III - to me, I can't get the image of Steptoe and Son out of my mind
Henry IX - perhaps the least worst option, although the association between "Henry" and "Hooray Henry", when applied to Harry, is just too close for comfort.

So long live Will, and long live Kate's bump. The alternative is just not worth contemplating.

Didn't Joe die the night before, but no-one dared to come and see him because he was assembling a massive show trial against doctors, and as far as the rest of the minions were concerned, they were either too scared or too happy to see him dead?

Whether he died before or after midnight, Uncle Joe did not have a good or pleasant death.

Prince Harry's full name is Prince Henry Charles Albert David Windsor, so he'd be King Henry IX if he should ascend the throne.

Are monarchs not allowed to choose whatever name they like when they take the throne? Like popes.

George VI was Albert Frederick Arthur George, so presume they can choose any one of there Christian names.

William is William Arthur Philip Louis, so he could King Louis or King Arthur

Actually it would be good if a few of them popped their clogs and we ended up with Queen Zara, that would be interesting

That was one version, but 5th March is generally quoted.
At least it was in his own bed, unlike a few of his victims.

About 20 years ago, I used to be a regular in a not so salubrious boozer that
ran a 'DeathWatch' pontoon.

It was a pound a week and ones potential clog-popper was changed monthly.

Can recall it going on for nearly a year once, with Kenny Everett's demise bringing
one punter a tidy sum of 2.5k.

III.

Prince Charles has said he will be known as George VII if and when he ascends to the throne.

No???? Really??? Say it ain't so.

So Chaz would not only be the oldest person ever to ascend to the throne, has not only rejected Di in favour of a horse, and talks to plants, but he also doesn't know his own name - he's had 63 going on 64 years to work that one out.

I know there's been some previous - Prince changed his name to squiggle. But he's weird.

Charles has had 60 or more years to work out what his name is. In case he has some problems in remembering, then Charles, the name by which he has always been known, might be a good start.

Otherwise, if he doesn't like the name, he could have let us know beforehand. He's had a while. Nevertheless, since he has not been able to figure out his own name, he could choose George VII, Arthur I, Phillip I, or even Cherry Blossom Flower I.

Please, please, please bring on William V, or Kate's bump I, or (even, if it comes to it) Henry IX.

I can't ever remember singing the first five words (especially the first two) of the national anthem with more feeling. There's a weirdo in the wings - and his regnal name will be even stranger than if he'd been christened by Frank Zappa. Plus Zappa's kids have not insisted on mock-Georgian architecture everywhere.
