Manchester 4, Bedfordshire 4; After Extra Time (3-3); Bedfordshire won 4-2 on "penalties"

Manchester were denied the opportunity to make history by winning the competition for the first time
when they surrendered a three goal lead after an hour's play in the F.A. County Youth Cup final

Three goals all in the first quarter of an hour after half-time looked certain to take Manchester to victory in their first final since 1986,
but Bedfordshire completed a spirited comeback in added time to take the game to extra time.

Bedfordshire went ahead in extra time before Adam Bezzina completed his hat-trick when he scored with a rebound from his second penalty
to take the tie to spot kicks where Aaron Fulton was the Bedfordshire's hero, saving Manchester's first two kicks.

Bezzina's 47th minute penalty put Manchester ahead and he then took advantage of a defensive mix up to double the lead (53).
Josh Smethurst came on as a substitute after 58 minutes and within a minute had toe poked home the third.

Josh Terry pulled one back almost immediately (63) and Bradley Johnson scored another after 85 minutes.
Terry then got his second in added time (90+1) as Bedfordshire piled forward and then they wasted a good opportunity (90+3)
to steal it in the dying moments so extra-time followed.

Captain Leigh Stevens completed a remarkable comeback to edge Bedfordshire ahead (112)
only for Bezzina to complete his hat-trick when he followed up after his penalty was initially saved.

Despite a host of chances at either end, neither side could find a winner and penalties followed.
